Something I have written many times on social media is that when our Justice Department becomes a tool of the oppressor, we are losing our Democracy. Dictators have always used the Justice Department to oppress the people. Germany had its Gestapo and the SS, which were used to kill millions. Stalin had his NKVD, which would later become the KGB, that he used to kill millions and consolidate his power. China has its Chenguang, which is known for its violent methods. That is how things work in a country that is run by a dictator.  They use their personal Justice Departments to suppress and eliminate threats to their power. Is that now what is happening in this country? I swear, Trump wants to be just like the Communist and Fascist dictators.

Trump seems to want to use our Justice Department more as his personal goon squad than a department that serves the people. He is starting with ICE. ICE is an agency that was formed after 9/11 and put under the Department of Homeland Security. Before 9/11, we had the U.S. Customs Service and the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, which were transformed into the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It is intended to keep the country safe from terrorists, which is why it is always important that.
Trump calls our undocumented immigrants “terrorists”. Are any of them really terrorists? I don’t think so because I think an actual terrorist would be paraded out there by Trump to justify his terrorization of undocumented immigrants. Trump has said they were drug runners for the cartels. Again, I would think that they would be paraded out there on every news channel to justify Trump's terrorism of immigrants. Trump has said he wants to get rid of all these criminals who make our nation unsafe. Again, if they were criminals, they would be paraded out there for all of us to see, with Trump expecting us to thank him for keeping our streets safe. These people are getting caught coming out of Home Depot and at places of their employment. ICE is not raiding drug safehouses; they are raiding schools, restaurants, and other places where they work. I have seen 10 and 12-year-old children who pose no threat to our national security with their hands zip-tied behind their backs.

On September 11, 2001, our Democracy was attacked by terrorists who meant to terrorize the entire nation, and they succeeded, and we have been acting like that ever since. We have been willing to give up our freedoms and privacy for the sake of security. What is happening with ICE is not making our nation safer. Terrorizing people that just want to earn a living and are willing to do all the crappy jobs that regular Americans don’t want to do. They come here, spend money in our stores, and pay taxes. They contribute to society, and the services they provide add value to every community. The problem is, they are not white. Musk was here on a student Visa and dropped out of college. At that point, he should have left the country because he was here illegally, along with his brother, I think. Now he is the richest man on earth, but if he had been made to obey the law as Trump sees it, he wouldn’t even be here. Musk's advantage was that he was white. Trump's own wife was working as a model before she had permission to work here. She made thousands of dollars while working illegally in the United States. Here again, she was white and was also protected by a rich white guy, Donald Trump. The hypocrisy is amazing. To me, what we see Trump bring to the table is Hatred, Racism, Bigotry, and threats of violence. It is a sad group of people who have so much hate that they support that kind of man.

As I have stated many times on January 6th, 2021, our Capitol and our democracy were attacked by domestic terrorists who were trying to stop Congress from performing their constitutional duty to certify the 2020 presidential election. People have called it an insurrection, a riot, and if you are a Republican, you lie and say it was just a bunch of tourists. 150 police officers were injured by those people who stormed the Capitol and wanted to stop Congress from doing their constitutional duty. Not only the country, but the entire world, watched in horror as the screams of the mob yelling “Hang Mike Pence”. Our outgoing President was watching it on TV, and some reports suggested he was cheering on the mob. It was Trump’s job to protect the Constitution and to protect Congress from harm while doing their constitutional duty. I don’t believe Trump ever really called the National Guard to restore peace, and he let the terrorists continue to attack our Capitol police for over 3 hours. Now you turn toward Los Angeles today, and you see a very peaceful protest going on. Still, Trump not only illegally calls out the National Guard because the Governor didn’t ask him, but he is also illegally deploying the Marines to the area. During all the protests in LA, there has been less violence than if the Los Angeles Lakers had won the NBA championship. In both cases, he has violated his oath to protect and defend the Constitution. These are impeachable offenses, but we know that Republicans will not uphold their oaths of office just like Trump. Trump has stated that he supports our police, but on January 6th, 2021, we saw that was just talk, and 150 police officers were injured by a mob sent by Donald Trump. He has shown that he is a man who does not believe in the Constitution; he does not believe in the law, and he doesn’t support the law. To those who voted for him, I ask you, do you believe in the Constitution?

Our Police take an Oath of Office just like the President and Congress. The oath of office for the Los Angeles police reads, “I do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California and the Charter of the City of Los Angeles, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of (inserting the name of the office) according to the best of my ability”. It has been established by the courts that due process is a Constitutional Right of all persons. ICE has been ignoring that Constitutional right. By the Police helping ICE, they too may be breaking their Oath of Office, and I think that warrants an investigation by the city of Los Angeles and the State of California. If our police don’t uphold their oath of office, there should be consequences. It is our Constitution and our laws that govern us, and the police have sworn to protect those. The police are just turning themselves into the tools of the oppressor, and it is their fault.

  2. Spot on, as usual. Donald Trump & his accomplices do go on & on about the enemies of the people, when it is obvious they are the real enemies, in plain sight, ruining & destroying not only the US, but also their allies & western democracies. They are in power right now only for population control & to fill their own pockets. The longer they stay in power, the more damage will be done & it may become unrepairable at some stage. People are understandably stunned & afraid, which is exactly what this administration wants. It takes a lot of courage to resist, but resistance is likely to be the only response that can save the US & their allies. Very dark times & hard choices. :(

There’s a simple way to judge a country: look at whose lives it protects, and whose lives it’s willing to forget. For years now, we’ve heard the phrase “All Lives Matter.” It sounds fair. It sounds equal. It sounds like common sense. But a country doesn’t reveal its values through slogans. It reveals them through actions, through the lives it defends, the lives it ignores, and the lives it quietly pushes out of sight. And lately, America has been doing a whole lot of looking away. When Black Americans said they were being killed during traffic stops and routine encounters, the response from many leaders wasn’t concern; it was irritation. Instead of saying, “Let’s fix the problem so fewer people die,” we heard “Blue Lives Matter,” “Stop resisting,” and “BLM is a terrorist group.” A man died in a chokehold on camera. We all saw, from the beginning to the end. It was like a modern-day lynching. Millions marched peacefully. The answer from those in power was “law and order,” and “...
On Saturday, I was looking at Facebook and a person I was friends with, in fact, someone I went to High School with, posted something I knew was wrong. The post claimed that four lawmakers in Colorado decided jail time shouldn’t be mandatory for people who committed sexual assault of children. She claimed they were pedophile protectors. I opened up Perplexity and asked about the situation, and this is the reply I got back: You’re referring to a recent controversy in Colorado over a proposed bill that would change sentencing rules for certain sex crimes. Here are the verified facts to clarify what’s actually happening: • In early 2026, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee held a vote on a sentencing reform bill that aimed to give judges more discretion in certain felony cases. • Some lawmakers voted against an amendment that would have made mandatory prison sentences apply to all sex crimes, including child sexual assault, preferring instead to let judges determine sentences...
Dove or hawk? Donald Trump ran for President promising to end “endless wars”, avoid new ones, and put American families first. He cast himself as an outsider who would bring peace – the only candidate who wouldn’t drag America into another conflict. The message worked because let's face it, after so many years in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was tired of war. As a country, we were all tired of War. The country wanted stability, not another generation of men and women sent into danger. But once in office, he governed very differently. He governed like a Hawk, quick to threaten, quick to escalate, and willing to use both bombs and tariffs as weapons. What was missing wasn’t just consistency. It was an honor: the sense of responsibility and restraint that should come with the power to risk other people's sons and daughters. This isn’t about ideology. It's about whether someone who promised peace, but repeatedly chooses confrontation, can still claim to be a “dove”. A core...
