I Could Be Wrong.

  A National divorce. That is what Marjorie Taylor Greene says we need. She says that in able to stop another Civil War we need to let Red States succeed from the Union. We need to dismantle the United States of America. She has to be smoking some really good stuff that is probably really illegal in the State of Georgia. Maybe Trump Jr. has been sharing his stuff with her. The first thing I would like to know is how would you determine what a Red State and what a Blue State is? Do you go by the color of the population? About one third of the population of Georgia is Black. The White population is just a little over 51 percent with other minority groups making up the rest. Do you go by the party of where the Governors are from? Do you hold a general election? How do you decide? That would be the number one question. Do you just do it because that is what Marjorie Taylor Greene wants? I would be willing to bet that if you held an election in Georgia they would choose to stay with the U

  Biden has gone to Ukraine. What does that mean? I don’t really know except that he appears to be standing up for Democracy. It also looks like he is acting like a world leader. Some people say that it was a gutsy move on his part but I really don’t think that the Russians are not going to shoot down Air Force One. It is something that Trump would have never done, so from that standpoint I guess it is gutsy. He is showing he is standing up for Democracy and he is showing our NATO Allies we will help in the struggle for Democracy. The Republicans are of course throwing stones at President Biden for going to Ukraine and not East Palestine, Ohio. What short memories does everyone have? Biden called Ohio Governor DeWine and offered him anything that he needed. The Ohio Governor assured President Biden there wasn’t anything he needed but he would not hesitate to ask.   Cancel Culture. That fake news network Fox News has been making a big thing about cancel culture. They are making sure that this will remain an issue into the 2024 election. I am here to tell you that the discussion on Cancel Culture in America has always been a made up issue from the people that wish it install fear of the truth and fear of change. It is not a new thing here in America. I think that the first people that complained about Cancel Culture were the Tories during our fight for independence. Just think of it. We had one group of people that wanted to start a new country and we had another group that wanted us to stay under the thumb of the British Empire. The Tories were opposed to us canceling our relationship with the British Empire and in some cases were so afraid of leaving the British Empire they went and moved to Canada. I think that is the best example of Cancel Culture in this Country. We were founded on the principle that we were to try and correct the injustic

  Thoughts and prayers, that is what they say after every shooting. They try to cover all the bases by saying “Thoughts” to cover the non religious people like me, and “Prayers” to cover the religious people. When something bad happens, like a death in the family or a person is sick,  I am always saying that I will keep them in my thoughts. Why do I say that? Usually because I am in no real position to help so I send my thoughts. If I was in a real position to make a difference I hope that I would do more than just send my thoughts, I hope that I would do something that would help. The same goes with prayers. If all you do is pray when you are in a position to help than all you are doing is using your prayers as an excuse to do nothing. I saw a posting on Facebook that said instead of thoughts and prayers we need to make murder harder. I agree with that statement but it is easier said than done.   I live in Florida for those that haven’t been following me. Florida is an absolutely beautiful state that has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. In Florida we have all kinds of environmental concerns from pollution runoff from the sugar plantations to Green Algae to Red Tide. We are a State that is right in the crosshairs of climate change because of rising seas to stronger hurricanes. All of these environmental and climate issues will affect all of America but it may just be felt the worst right here. I was reading an article on the web from the Independent and it wrote about how bad climate change is going to be for the State of Florida. Trump has joked about the seas rising 1/100 th of a inch over the next 300 years and that all climate change is doing is creating more beachfront property.   Today I am sitting at Jerry’s on Sanibel Island, Florida enjoying the beautiful weather and thinking of what an inspiration this place has to be to the entire island. Things are pretty much still in shambles here after the hurricane but they have worked hard to service the residents and all the workers, working toward recovery.   I have read that George Santos went on a conservative news network to explain why he lied about his qualifications when he campaigned to be the Republican nominee for Congress for his district in New York. He stated that he lied because he knew if he told the truth they would have never voted for him because he was not a college graduate. Being a college graduate is not one of the qualifications spelled out in the Constitution that makes you eligible to run for Congress.   We have, as a nation, just witnessed or read about the Sate of the Union Address by President Biden and the response by Republican Governor Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas. The difference between the two parties was very apparent. If you are one of those that say the both parties are alike then you are not watching, listening, or reading. You are just living with an opinion that died right along with liberal and moderate Republicans. What I find is curious we still have the other party’s response with the fact that the Fairness Doctrine was done away by Reagan, so giving the other party equal time is not necessary. I am glad because it now points out the sharp difference of the two political parties.   A Conservative Christian. What is the hell is a Conservative Christian? I just don’t understand the concept. Sometimes I just want to write to vent because I don’t know how we can take something as pure as the perfect man and pervert it into something of pure hate. I look at what the Evangelicals stand up for and what I used to think that Jesus stood up for are two very different things. We don’t even have to talk about how Mary, Joseph and Jesus were asylum seekers in Egypt because Herod wanted to kill the Messiah. We won’t talk about how Jesus walked among the poor. We won’t talk about how Jesus opened up his words to everyone not just God’s Chosen People. I would like to know how what Conservative Christians do today and have come to think that they are doing the work of Jesus. Jesus did not sit in prayer sessions with Pontius Pilate.   Right now I feel like I am in the middle of a Chicken Little book with everyone running around yelling “The sky is falling. The Sky is falling”. Why?   Well, a Chinese balloon had been spotted over Montana. The press was just going berserk, as well as, most of the Republican Party and some of the Democrat Party. I have read statements from people stating that because Biden didn’t shoot it down and he has put us in jeopardy because of it. I have read other statements that we can’t because it could be filled with bio weapons. I have also seen reports of an explosion in the skies over Montana. It is talk like this that we are witnessing from the press and from many public officials that can start wars. What do we do about a Chinese balloon flying across the United States? Do we go to war over a balloon? Seriously, what do we do that is different than what we are doing? Should we have shot is down before it entered U. S Airspace? I don’t know. I am sitting at the TradeWinds in St. Petersburg Florida. I am always in awe of the beauty that is Florida. There are many problems in Florida but a lack of beauty is not one of them. It is 63 degrees at 8am and when you are born and raised in Wisconsin that is perfect weather to start your day. I am sitting at a table just off the beach and I can see people walking, enjoying the same scenery that I am. Who would think that the people of Florida would elect people that want to spoil this beauty with violence and destruction whether it is by violent storms, ecological disasters, or just plan street violence. There is always things wrong wherever you live and like Wisconsin, Florida does have a few problems. I can talk about Wisconsin’s high taxes and the fact that Florida has no State income tax but in all honesty it cost more for gas and groceries here and, if you have to pay for all their services that you were used to be getting included with your taxes are you really better off.   I just saw a headline on Post News that said that Garland was asleep and the wheel. I wonder if history will write it that way or if history will show the ineffectiveness of the Biden administration was at holding the people   that would destroy our Republic accountable. Is this Garland that is asleep at the wheel or is it Biden? Is Biden so busy trying to build a legacy of being honest and working for the people that he is ignoring the fact that our justice system is failing?
