I Could Be Wrong.

  Target has been under fire. Why? They had put up some Pride displays in their stores that’s why. My god you would think that the sky is falling and that the world is coming to an end. People have called for a boycott of Target because of it. Whenever any business tries to reach out for tolerance they seem to wind up being the target for hate. Transgender people have always existed. Gay people have always existed. Saying that is not indoctrination it is stating a fact. I know that people always will say that this is a liberal thing and that liberal people are trying to indoctrinate our children. I am here to tell you that this is not a liberal thing or a conservative thing. This is a Freedom thing. That is right. This is all about freedom and who gets to be free.   The weather is getting hot in Florida. It is not even June yet and every day is in the high 80s to low 90s. The water temperatures are already in the 80s and it isn’t even summer yet. They are saying that it is going to be a below average hurricane season and for us that went through Ian we are hoping that it is a quiet Hurricane season. We haven’t recovered from Ian yet. In fact, we are still years away from recovery. The Weather Channel, this weekend, was doing reports from Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel and showing the progress that has occurred over the last almost 8 months since Ian made landfall. If I heard them right I think that they reported that only 17 percent of the businesses on Sanibel were up and running. Less than 10 percent of the vacation rentals are open. At least once a week I take a drive out to Sanibel just to see if the Lighthouse Beach is open, it isn’t yet.   Education in Florida. DeSantis is still going at it when it comes to suppressing education. No matter what you call it he is suppressing the education that our students and future workers are going to need in the real world. His attacks on equity, inclusion and diversity training will affect, in my opinion, the ability to function in the real world. I think the most important job of any educational system is to prepare our young people to function in the real world. It is a sad day when our governor signed legislation that is meant to groom our students than make them think. I often wonder what kind of world DeSantis thinks he is sending these students out into after they graduate. In my opinion he is not wanting to prepare them at all. Does he really think that he can just legislate the idea of racism out of our vocabulary by eliminating the teaching of racial history in America?   I get confused. Other times I just get angry. I listen to the people that talk about a divided America. Sometimes, I have heard some of those same people say “They will not replace us”. That statement is meant to divide us and the people who are yelling it are trying their damnedest to keep us divided. In my opinion, they want to keep us divided by race but at the same time have a unified White front, not a unified country. Good old white power, and what upsets them the most is not the minorities that disagree with them but it is the White people that disagree with them. Sometimes I think that they want us to feel like we are betraying our race. The people that have pushed the “Great Replacement Theory” do so to strike fear into White people’s hearts, especially old people like me. The problem with that strategy is that it is more successful than it should be.  It is one that uses hate and fear to control how we vote and in the long run, will hurt the growth of our country.  One huge

  Jalen Hurts, I may now be a fan. He just signed a massive contract with the Philadelphia Eagle but what I may like is the fact that it may also be a political statement. Skip Bayless has reported that Hurts had left his former Agent Lil Wayne because he appeared in a photo with Donald Trump. He has said that Hurts leaving Wayne’s Young Money Sports Agency really hurt Wayne personally. To put the story a little more accurately lets tell the whole truth. Nicole Lynn is Hurt’s agent and used to work with Young Money Sports Agency and it appears that they left together. She is a superstar among agents and Hurt made a great decision to leave with her. I don’t know where Skip Bayless is getting his information but I have always thought of him as the Tucker Carlson of Fox Sports.
