I Could Be Wrong.

  Hunter Biden. I am so tired of reading about Hunter Biden. The only reason that we are hearing about Hunter Biden is because the Republicans need something to attack President Biden with. They can’t find any wrong being done by the President so they go after the son. I really don’t care if the Justice Department investigated Hunter Biden just as long as they treat him the same as everyone else. I do care that it seems that the entire Republican Party seems to only want to talk about Hunter Biden as a way to smear our President. Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee said that President Biden used the Submersible Titan disaster as a way to divert attention away from Hunter Biden.   They will just make stuff up to try and make President Biden look like a crook. Lying for political gain is not good for the nation and too many Republicans like Marsha Blackburn are just lying.   It sure is getting interesting,   and scary at the same time. There has been a huge crisis in Russia. Whenever you have an armed revolt in a country that has Nuclear Weapons you have to sit up and take notice. Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Russian Private Army, called Wagner Group Military Corp, claimed that Russia’s own forces shelled his troops that were fighting for Russia. Prigozhin, as I am sure the world has heard, began transporting his troops toward Moscow in an open rebellion against Putin. Yevgeny did eventually back down and has been promised asylum in Bulgaria but I am sure that this story is not over yet. Are we seeing the end of Putin’s reign of terror? I don’t know but I do hope so. The thing that jumps out to me is a Private Army? Wagner Group Military Corp. is a private army that is contracted by the Russians to fight in Ukraine.   Though my understanding is they have fought in other places too. The privatization of an army.   There is so much going on that the news seems to have trouble keeping up. I have trouble keeping up. We have the multiple Trump scandals, we have the Republicans jockeying for position on who is going to replace Trump when he falters. We have Climate Change that still too many people believe is not real. We have a gun crisis in this country that is very much self-inflicted. We have a Healthcare crisis that too many people don’t want to recognize at all. We have labor shortages all over the country yet we still have too much poverty. We have a Supreme Court that just may be the most corrupt branch of our Federal Government. Our biggest problem as I see it is that we have too much hate in this country and hate is something that the Republicans know they can sell. That is what the Border Crisis is. It is selling hate.   It is hurricane season again. We have already had one named storm and it looks like another one later this week with another following closely behind. The flow off of Africa is starting early this year. The water in the Gulf of Mexico is like bath water, to be that warm already is not a good thing. It is the warm water that fuels the severe weather in the Gulf of Mexico. I had my two oldest grandchildren here in Ft. Myers for a few days we of course gave them a tour of all the damage on Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island that are still left over from Ian. Everywhere you go along the water the view still is affected by all the damage. There is still a lot of work to be done for our recovery so it is a little scary entering another Hurricane season. You can say that the odds are in our favor for not getting hit by other Hurricane for a while but when you have been hit with three Hurricanes in the last 18 years you know that it is possible.   I am so sick of Party Politics. We no longer have the rule of the law. What we have instead is Party Politics. I will tell you one thing, party politics are costing the people of Florida and a few other States a lot of money. The illegal border crossings are down so what does the Florida Governor do? He sends National Guard Troops to Texas. He pays for a plane to fly Asylum Seekers to California and Massachusetts not from Florida but from Texas. We have a disaster here in Florida and our State money is going to Texas. Try and make sense out of that because I can’t. It gets DeSantis headlines but it doesn’t do the State of Florida any good. We have a labor shortage and he is grandstanding for the Republican base in Texas. If he was really concerned about Florida maybe he should have flown them here so they could help us rebuild after the Hurricane.   Ok it has happened. Donald Trump has been indicted. People talk about how Trump mishandled top secret documents. Hey people, Trump did not just mishandle documents, Trump stole top secrets documents. Mishandling sounds like just a misunderstanding. Like oops, my bad, sorry I didn’t know. This was not a misunderstanding this was intentional. This is theft. This is not a victimless crime. We the citizens are the victims. Trump stole from us. Now many of “you” victims out there will not want to press charges because you feel that Trump should be above the law. Many of “us” victims feel just the opposite and think he should be prosecuted because he has not only betrayed the country but he has also betrayed the people of this county. He knew what the law was. He had the law changed in anger over Hillary Clinton and her email server. Our Declaration Of Independence says all men are created equal. Trump does not believe that.   Stand Your Ground. What in the hell is that? Really I have got to know. Is it a law made so one can legally protect themselves from being harmed or murdered or is a law that people can hide behind to justify murder. 27 States have Stand Your Ground laws. Does Stand Your Ground laws make us safer? In my research I have seen a lot of not enough evidence, to a lot of no’s. I have seen very few yes’ supported by actual numbers. I spent a lot of time looking and reading about the problems with guns and a lot of the arguments just don’t hold water. I am a gun holder and I have a Conceal and Carry License for the State of Florida even though you will no longer need a license to Conceal and Carry in the State. Even though I am licensed I do not carry my gun when I go anywhere. You can say that I am a hypocrite because I am a gun owner. I don’t think I am. I am not an advocate of taking away peoples guns. I do feel that I have the right to protect my home. I feel that everyone has a right to

  Physics. I think a lot about Physics these days. For every action there is an opposite, equal reaction. I know, I know, we are talking science here and much of the nation doesn’t believe in science. That is a problem as I see it because for every action there is a reaction. The problem is that many times we can’t predict what that reaction will be. We dump all this garbage into the atmosphere, there has to be some kind of reaction. To say that there is no reaction is just denying the laws of nature. Scientists did not create these laws. They didn’t just one day get together and say we are going to write these laws and nature is going to abide by them. These laws of nature are not like a set of ordnances created by your city council. They are not like the laws like Congress writes and passes. These are not like our Constitution. These laws were created when the world was created.   Woke, I was asked a while back what all this woke nonsense was. At that time I really didn’t know what it was and the whole thing just sounded ridiculous to me. In fact for the longest time I just ignored the word Woke because the whole thing seemed silly. Being woke? Is that like not being asleep? I remember the song “When I woke up this morning you were on my mind”. It was a word that always had such a positive thing about it like “awake” and “eyes open”. How can such a positive thing as being woke be considered bad? What is the opposite of being “Woke”? I would think that it would be being “Asleep”. Every night I go to sleep so I can be awake and alert the next day. Yes I woke up this morning and I don’t think that is a bad thing. What does that word woke mean today?
