The Supreme Court ruled to block restrictions on religious gatherings. It put religion assembly before people’s health. The fact that many churches put themselves before the health of its own parishioners is very telling. What it tells me is that they put money before souls. They put greed before salvation. They have put lies before truths. I have seen posted that God will protect me from the virus. Some of these same churches have said that you don’t have to wear a mask because God will protect you. These may be some people’s beliefs but then as we have seen in last four years many people believe the lies. Those institutions have compared themselves to essential workers like they are just as important to functioning society as let’s say nurses and firefighters. Nurses and firefighters save lives. Grocery clerks have died doing their essential job. By people continuing to assemble, when it isn’t necessary, just makes the lives of the really essential worker more stressful and dange
Black Lives Matter. Now that the election is over it seems that the Black Lives Matter movement has taken a back seat to Trump and his claim of voter fraud and the virus. Trump is incensed that there has to be voter fraud for him to lose which looks like a big temper tantrum. The virus is of course running out of control and with no real leadership it will continue until the vaccine is administered to most of the general public. Even then it will not be gone completely because there will be a lot of idiots out there that will refuse the vaccine. The reason I bring up both voter fraud and the virus is that both have a huge effect on Black lives. The virus has hit hard at the Black population. Many of the Black workers are working in low paying jobs that are considered essential. Housekeeping, Grocery Clerks, Hospitality Services and other low paying jobs. These are jobs, more than likely, do not allow them to work from home. Because of their low income they have also have not had
Covid-19 It has almost been a year that the world has been battling the pandemic. Yes it is a world problem. This is not a Democratic hoax that the rest of world would conspire with the Democratic Party to bring down the Trump administration. People are out there are really getting sick and really dying and not enough is being done to prevent the disease. What really scares me is that there are people out there that don’t care. As long as they can go to the bar and have their beer or go to church on Sunday so they can pretend that they are religious they could care less if some unknown person to them dies. If someone with a preexisting condition die it’s oh well they had a preexisting condition and that is what killed them. It wouldn’t matter that the person may have been able to live a few more years with that preexisting condition.   This is not a right or left problem it is a life or death problem. We are in one of the worst weeks of the virus yet and we have a government offici
The Election It has been over a week since the election and I would like to express some of my thoughts. It was a hard fought election with some dirty campaign ads from both sides. Most of the vicious ads came from the so called super pacs. Some of them were entertaining but some of them were just outright lies. I will have to say that I thought that Biden ran a more upbeat campaign than Trump. Both candidates’ super pacs were very negative. The problem with Trump is he gave too much cannon fodder for organizations like the Lincoln Project. Another problem with Trump was that there were too many tweets and recordings that supported what organizations like the Lincoln Project stated. He really is not a very nice man but that does mean he couldn’t have been a good President. Biden is a very nice man but that does not mean he will be a good President. We need both the right and the left to walk a straight line. We have been pulled to the right for a while and may need to be pulled a l
