The reasons I vote are many but one thing that I vote for is the truth. Climate change is real and the people that say the science is not there are not telling the truth. The science is there and if you want to see a preview of the havoc Climate Change is going to bring just do what I did. Take a drive through Fort Myers Beach and have a look. Look at the devastation. The science is there but the eye test is even more important.  Shrimp boats do not belong in Mobile Home Parks.

Fort Myers Beach, Florida.

That is the type of devastation that you see in Fort Myers Beach. Now this is a just preview of more to come. This is just a sample of the devastation that is here right now. These storms are going to get stronger and stronger. This is only the beginning. Mother Nature is a foe that cannot be defeated.

Why do we continue to vote for the people that will deny the science? Why do we continue to vote for the people that have put their profits above our future and the future of our grandchildren? I remember reading that Trump said that he didn’t care about climate change because he wouldn’t be around anyway. Why are we letting all these fossil fuel companies with their billion dollars dominate our politics? When you put the wealth of a few to dictate our future you will not wind up with much of a future. Nothing will defeat this especially when we keep on voting for the people that know that it is happening but will deny it for campaign donations. Abortion, Gay Marriage Trans Sexual and religion will mean nothing to the Armageddon that Mother Nature will cause. If you keep voting for those people that want keep on destroying our World for profit none of the other issues will matter.

  1. People vote how they are feeling at the particular moment which is usually inflation, crime, etc. unfortunately they don’t vote on issues that will take years to fix.

There’s a simple way to judge a country: look at whose lives it protects, and whose lives it’s willing to forget. For years now, we’ve heard the phrase “All Lives Matter.” It sounds fair. It sounds equal. It sounds like common sense. But a country doesn’t reveal its values through slogans. It reveals them through actions, through the lives it defends, the lives it ignores, and the lives it quietly pushes out of sight. And lately, America has been doing a whole lot of looking away. When Black Americans said they were being killed during traffic stops and routine encounters, the response from many leaders wasn’t concern; it was irritation. Instead of saying, “Let’s fix the problem so fewer people die,” we heard “Blue Lives Matter,” “Stop resisting,” and “BLM is a terrorist group.” A man died in a chokehold on camera. We all saw, from the beginning to the end. It was like a modern-day lynching. Millions marched peacefully. The answer from those in power was “law and order,” and “...
On Saturday, I was looking at Facebook and a person I was friends with, in fact, someone I went to High School with, posted something I knew was wrong. The post claimed that four lawmakers in Colorado decided jail time shouldn’t be mandatory for people who committed sexual assault of children. She claimed they were pedophile protectors. I opened up Perplexity and asked about the situation, and this is the reply I got back: You’re referring to a recent controversy in Colorado over a proposed bill that would change sentencing rules for certain sex crimes. Here are the verified facts to clarify what’s actually happening: • In early 2026, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee held a vote on a sentencing reform bill that aimed to give judges more discretion in certain felony cases. • Some lawmakers voted against an amendment that would have made mandatory prison sentences apply to all sex crimes, including child sexual assault, preferring instead to let judges determine sentences...
THE COMMUNIST SCARE THAT NEVER DIES How Trump’s Daily Attacks Turn Good Neighbors Into “Enemies” — And Why History Should Make Us Pay Attention America is living through a strange moment — a moment where the past isn’t repeating, but it’s humming loudly enough that anyone with a sense of history can feel the vibration. Donald Trump calls Democrats “communists” almost every day now. Not because it’s true, but because it’s useful. It’s a way to turn political opponents into national threats. And if that tactic feels familiar, it’s because it is. Hitler built his rise on the same rhetorical scaffolding. This is the part of history we pretend not to hear. We imagine authoritarianism arrives with tanks and torchlight. It doesn’t. It arrives with language — repeated, exaggerated, weaponized language — that trains people to fear their own neighbors. TURNING NEIGHBORS INTO “COMMUNISTS” Trump isn’t warning about some secret underground movement. He’s pointing at ordinary American...
