John Edwards, remember him? Anyone? For those of you with poor memories he was a Democratic Presidential candidate. John Edwards was charged, in a very similar situation as Trump, with paying hush money to his alleged mistress. The charges came in 2011 but the payments happened in 2007. One difference is that Edwards, I believe, was charged in Federal Court and Trump is being charged by the State. Edwards was acquitted of one charge and the Jury was hung on the other five counts. Edwards was not retried and the charges were eventually dropped. I bring this up for those that says that this is unprecedented. Well, you are wrong. The biggest difference is that Edwards was a Democrat and Trump was a Republican. One thing that is the same is that they were both pigs.

If you remember John Edwards was John Kerry’s running mate in the 2004 election which they lost to George W. Bush and Don Cheney. In 2007 John Edward’s wife was battling cancer that would eventually take her life. When the news broke of his affair he was totally disgrace and was forced to end his campaign. His political career was ruined as it should be.  In 2011 he went on trial for funneling almost one million dollars of hush money to his mistress and love child. In 2006 Donald Trump’s wife had just given birth to their son Barron when Trump had his affair with porn star Stormy Daniels, who he stated,  she reminded him of his daughter. The news had broken in April of 2018 pretty much six months before the election. Trump had is attorney pay off Stormy Daniels and Trump of course denied everything and went on to win the Republican nomination and then the Presidency. The biggest difference between the two men was that one was forced from the public eye and that the other lied and went on to be President. Should we not hold Trump accountable because he went on to become President? This crime was committed before he became President so, should that mean everything he did was forgiven the minute he became President?  If Republicans think that, then, what is all this about Hunter Biden’s laptop? I have the opinion that no one is above the law and even a future President, current President and a former President must be held accountable in accordance with the law. What most people tend to forget that this was a Grand Jury Investigation and not just some Democratic DA wanting to punish Trump! The Grand Jury was made up of citizens of New York where the crime occurred and they have recommended thirty-five criminal charges. They are saying that there is a lot more going on with Trump but I am getting tired of all the speculation, and am just going to wait to see the charges.

I remember when the Edwards scandal broke and I think that the entire country shared the outrage. Democrats and Republicans. Today? Well that is a different story. Why is that? You ask a thousand people and you will get a thousand different answers. I live in Florida where there is a Church on just about every corner. You would think that a man that had an affair with a Porn Star while his wife was at home after giving birth of his son wouldn’t play well. Those White Christians just love the guy. They have treated him like the second coming of Christ. Even after everything was learned and that he paid his mistress hush money the Trump flags keep flying. Why was the Country so united in condemning Edwards? Was it because he was a Democrat and that we expected more integrity from a Democratic Candidate? Why was not Trump held to the same standard? That is a question that many Democrats and Independents like me are asking. Why is a Republican not held to the same standard? Everyone should be held to the same standard don’t you think? Has the Church turned its back on its own teachings and the Commandments that they held Clinton and Edwards to?  And, the same standards should be upheld now that it is a Republican? Why is something immoral for one person but not immoral for another?

Marjorie Taylor Greene now says that she will be in New York to protest the arresting of Trump. I am pretty sure that she will  be working in her official capacity so I wonder if we are going to be footing the bill for her protesting. Lindsey Graham has stated that he should break a few windows on his way to the court house to insure that he will be sure be let go. Not only is Graham justifying violence but he is playing the race card insinuating that the Black Lives Matter protestors got away with violence. Over 10,000 Black Lives protestors were arrested. Federal officials filed charges against racial justice protestors over five months after Floyd’s death including 105 for arson, 49 for civil disorder, 45 for assault against an officer and 30 felons in possession of a weapon. Those are the numbers that I found and there are probably more. I would also state that much of the violence and destruction was caused by counter protestors and the police but that is not talked about anymore. Trump himself has called for violence to take our country back. Violence and threats now seem to be part of the Republican Party platform. This is not a group that respects the rule of the law or our Constitution. Lindsey Graham and Marjorie Taylor Greene swore an oath as did all of the other Republicans in office to that Constitution and now they seem to want to burn it. Trump swore an oath to that same document but let’s face it we knew he wasn’t swearing any allegiance to anyone but himself.

I know that it is unfair for me to lump all Republicans into one pile but today that is what has to happen. Liz Cheney is a Republican that stood up to Trump and his lies and they took away her leadership position and then she lost her seat. Liz Cheney was a dedicated Republican. Her father was Vice President and before that was Secretary of Defense for George H. W. Bush. She was raised to think that our Constitution was more important than any political party. She asked her father’s advice before she took action and took the position in America First.   Adam Kinzinger stood up to Trump and they just drummed him out of the Republican Party. I don’t agree with some of their positions but when it was time to stand up and be counted for our Constitution they answered the call when most didn’t. When a Republican tried to put the good of the Country first they were basically destroyed politically. That is what disappointed me the most, that the lack of love for our country the was shown by many in the Republican Party. My Father was a Republican and he loved his country. Would I have the same attitude if the Democrats were trying to burn the Constitution?  That answer is yes, but the Constitution does not say anything about socialized medicine and other programs for the poor. Just how our Government is suppose to function and for who benefits: The People.

  1. While you’re old you sound quite naive and gullible. Fact is Trump announced his presidential run and is loved by the people because he actually says what most of the lifer politicians won’t. While departments of the government have been corrupted by globalist corporate fascists you literally have these globalist demonrats sowing division and destroying the USA by policy. Marxist 101 tactics on how to destroy / takeover a nation. Trump is no angel but the powers that be that instilled the octogenarian puppet in power clearly are trying their best to not have him in power. What / who exactly would you expect to be able to go up against this globalist fascist central bank WEF Rothschild Rockefeller Bilderberg Schwab corrupt cabal satanic pedo cabal? You also sound like you also took the injections and if you did you will probably never see the forest for the trees, that is you’ll never see the big picture as to what is afoot and will be forever mired in the stupid details they want you lost in while they effect “a new world order” right under our noses.

Dove or hawk? Donald Trump ran for President promising to end “endless wars”, avoid new ones, and put American families first. He cast himself as an outsider who would bring peace – the only candidate who wouldn’t drag America into another conflict. The message worked because let's face it, after so many years in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was tired of war. As a country, we were all tired of War. The country wanted stability, not another generation of men and women sent into danger. But once in office, he governed very differently. He governed like a Hawk, quick to threaten, quick to escalate, and willing to use both bombs and tariffs as weapons. What was missing wasn’t just consistency. It was an honor: the sense of responsibility and restraint that should come with the power to risk other people's sons and daughters. This isn’t about ideology. It's about whether someone who promised peace, but repeatedly chooses confrontation, can still claim to be a “dove”. A core...
The hidden tax. Tariffs cause a hidden tax that never really goes away. I hope that Americans are tired of being told fairy tales about why everything costs more. Our elected officials point fingers. Corporations blame supply chains. Commentators blame inflation. The truth is much simpler and infuriating: tariffs are a tax on ordinary people, and the pain does not stop when the policy ends. It sticks. It lingers. It rarely delivers what we were promised. This is the mess we are in now because of the tariffs imposed by the current administration. Tariffs are sold as strength, as toughness – a way to punish governments and to bring back manufacturing jobs. That pitch works on conservatives who want control, moderates who want fairness, progressives who want domestic industry, and politicians trying to get elected. It is a message built to unite. The policy itself does the opposite. It drains the wallets of the very people that it claims to protect. Here is how it actually works. ...
When I was young, I was told that “Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll” was going to ruin the country. What I am seeing today is that “Sex, Politicians, and Espionage” is actually what is ruining the country and our democracy. Just think about it. When sex, secrecy, and political power get mixed together, every intelligence service in the world pays attention. The Epstein files aren’t just about a criminal and the rich people that he surrounded himself with. They show how sexual exploitation creates the kind of vulnerabilities foreign governments like Russia dream of. The most uncomfortable part of that truth is that other countries, such as Great Britain, are taking that threat more seriously than we are. Jeffrey Epstein didn’t just commit crimes. He built a system. He targeted vulnerable girls, groomed them, controlled them, and used them to gain access to powerful men. That abuse wasn’t just immoral; it gave him power and leverage. Victims were scared, ashamed, and often silenced. P...
