Guilty! History will show that on May 30th 2024 a New York jury found former President Donald Trump guilty on all 34 counts of corruption. When the news flashed, “the jury has reach a verdict” I knew it was not good news for Trump. The jury deliberated for just over 10 hours. That is less than a 20 minute discussion on each charge. Usually it is not a good sign for the defendant when the jury comes to a decision that quickly. The trial was not televised and all we had to judge things were by what the News Media wanted us to know. Because we have a news media that wants to direct the attitude of the nation and not actually just report the news it was very hard to get a honest handle on how the trial was going. With what I was reading I figured there was no way all twelve people on the jury would find Trump guilty on all 34 counts. I thought that an outright acquittal was out of the question. I thought the best scenario would be a hung jury. I think it is hard to get 12 people that don’t know each other to agree on anything, let alone a trial jury. To get a guilty verdict on all 34 counts said to me the case the State of New York must have been a very strong one and it must have been presented to the jury in a very factual way.

Reaction from the Republicans has been swift as you would expect. Even Mitch McConnell who was silent is now saying, after the verdict had been read, charges should have never been brought. This is the same man that said that Trump could not be impeached, that is what the courts are for. What he wants is to have it both ways now that Trump is the Republican nominee, Trump can’t be touched by the Courts and he can’t be touched by Congress. When the charges were first brought he was quiet and I think that he was supporting other Republicans and, I think, he was hoping this would hurt Trump’s chances.  Now that Trump has become the Republican Nominee Mitch will always put the Republican Party before the good of the Country and our Constitution. I think too many Republicans talk about the Constitution hoping you have never read the damn thing.

I have read that Trump is trying to “save the Constitution”.  When it comes to Trump, when he says something, you have to sometimes believe just the opposite. What I think is happening is, Trump is trying to burn our Constitution. I cannot see where our Constitution was violated by the New York Justice Department. I cannot see where Trump’s constitutional rights were violated in any way what so ever. He was investigated by the State of New York and that investigation I believe started before Trump left office. His case was presented to a Grand Jury to decide if charges were merited. The Grand Jury signed off on 34 felony charges against our former President. Trump was arrested and arraigned just like any other citizen would have. Trump was tried in a court of law, he got to face his accusers and was found guilty by a jury just as you or I would have been. That is how our system is supposed to work. To attack the system that Trump was convicted is an attack upon our Constitution and our laws. Trump, of course, has blamed Biden and his Department of Justice even though this was a State trial and not a Federal trial. Trump has called the District Attorney and the Judge corrupt. Now, Trump was claiming that the prosecution did not call witnesses that would have proven Trump was innocent. Trump was represented by a qualified attorney whose job was to call those witnesses if they actually existed. None were called. Trump could have taken the stand. He chose not to. If there was a failure of putting the truth out there it was from the Trump team but of course it is everyone else’s fault. People have to wake up to smell all the BS that Trump and the Republicans are shoveling.

Many Republicans like the Speaker of the House Mike Johnson are putting this on Biden hoping that you are too stupid to know any different. The Republicans are quick to say that Biden has weaponized our Department of Justice. These were State charges and not charges by the Federal Government. As I stated, the investigation started before Biden was elected. In fact, I think the investigation started even before Biden won the Democratic nomination. The investigation was also started before New York District Attorney Briggs was elected. In fact, his election probably slowed the whole process a little. When Trump was elected many in this country knew that Trump was a crook. Many Republicans knew this day would come but what I can’t emphasize enough is that the Republican Party has put party before Country. The lying and misinformation is what amazes me. I once saw a posting that said “Stupid is knowing the truth, seeing truth, but believing the lies”. That sums up much of our Country that supports the Republican party

I know people with disabled children that voted for Trump even though he had mocked the disabled. It was well documented that he had filed for bankruptcy many times so don’t try and tell me how great of a businessman he is. It was a known fact he and his father were fined for racial discrimination in rental denials so don’t tell me he is not a racist.  We know that Trump wouldn’t know the truth if it bit him but people just didn’t care about the truth. I know that many Christians voted for Trump knowing that he was a womanizer who has cheated on all of his wives. Those Christians didn’t care about his lack of morals. He has been sued for sexual assault and lost but too many Christians just don’t care. They morphed their whole religion to accommodate Trump and the hate that Trump helps them justify. The teachings of Jesus is no longer important to many Christians. Jesus walked with the poor. He would be helping those asylum seekers because he was an asylum seeker.  I hate to say this but if your religion turns its back on the teaching of its leader, Jesus, it is no longer Christianity.

I see the reasons that people vote for Trump and most of them deal with hate or for profit. It has nothing to do with America First. They don’t vote for him because he believes in the founding principles of the country because he doesn’t. They don’t vote for him because of a love for Freedom, Liberty or Democracy because he doesn’t. If they truly put America and Americans first they wouldn’t vote for him at all.

  1. Many have been false witnesses against the innocent. It had to be written as a commandment because it is so prevalent. Everything isn’t always black and white. Someone would be foolish to be led without a deep understanding of each individual situation.

There’s a simple way to judge a country: look at whose lives it protects, and whose lives it’s willing to forget. For years now, we’ve heard the phrase “All Lives Matter.” It sounds fair. It sounds equal. It sounds like common sense. But a country doesn’t reveal its values through slogans. It reveals them through actions, through the lives it defends, the lives it ignores, and the lives it quietly pushes out of sight. And lately, America has been doing a whole lot of looking away. When Black Americans said they were being killed during traffic stops and routine encounters, the response from many leaders wasn’t concern; it was irritation. Instead of saying, “Let’s fix the problem so fewer people die,” we heard “Blue Lives Matter,” “Stop resisting,” and “BLM is a terrorist group.” A man died in a chokehold on camera. We all saw, from the beginning to the end. It was like a modern-day lynching. Millions marched peacefully. The answer from those in power was “law and order,” and “...
On Saturday, I was looking at Facebook and a person I was friends with, in fact, someone I went to High School with, posted something I knew was wrong. The post claimed that four lawmakers in Colorado decided jail time shouldn’t be mandatory for people who committed sexual assault of children. She claimed they were pedophile protectors. I opened up Perplexity and asked about the situation, and this is the reply I got back: You’re referring to a recent controversy in Colorado over a proposed bill that would change sentencing rules for certain sex crimes. Here are the verified facts to clarify what’s actually happening: • In early 2026, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee held a vote on a sentencing reform bill that aimed to give judges more discretion in certain felony cases. • Some lawmakers voted against an amendment that would have made mandatory prison sentences apply to all sex crimes, including child sexual assault, preferring instead to let judges determine sentences...
Dove or hawk? Donald Trump ran for President promising to end “endless wars”, avoid new ones, and put American families first. He cast himself as an outsider who would bring peace – the only candidate who wouldn’t drag America into another conflict. The message worked because let's face it, after so many years in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was tired of war. As a country, we were all tired of War. The country wanted stability, not another generation of men and women sent into danger. But once in office, he governed very differently. He governed like a Hawk, quick to threaten, quick to escalate, and willing to use both bombs and tariffs as weapons. What was missing wasn’t just consistency. It was an honor: the sense of responsibility and restraint that should come with the power to risk other people's sons and daughters. This isn’t about ideology. It's about whether someone who promised peace, but repeatedly chooses confrontation, can still claim to be a “dove”. A core...
