I spend a lot of time researching what I write about. I often write about the problems that I feel the country is going through. I am always trying to figure out how we got here in the first place. Looking backward often helps to move forward. I can look back over the past seven decades and compare what I see today. I can see the great advances we have made and where we have been stagnant or even gone backward as a society. When it comes to informing people what is happening, we are going backward. We have a 24-hour news channel that is just a propaganda channel of the Conservative Republican Party owned by a Billionaire and the channel's purpose is to impose the conservative will upon the American people. We have had Billionaires buy some of the biggest newspapers in the country like the Wahington Post and the Los Angeles Times and then censor what the papers can print. What that is, is Billionaires making a mockery of the 1^st Amendment. We have Billionaires controlling our social media which affects our ability to search for the truth that the 1^st amendment was meant to protect.

We are going through the confirmation hearings for the new incoming administration. Of course, all these hearings are televised for the world to see. What it also creates is a visual record for future generations to learn and study. During the confirmation hearing for the Attorney General that Donald Trump picked, Pam Bondi made a statement when Biden became President, we had a peaceful transfer of power. Now every day I see people post on Twitter and Bluesky videos and pictures of the events that occurred on January 6^th, 2021 so we never forget. That is the day a mob stormed the Capitol building while Congress was in the process of certifying the election to try and stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden as President. They intended to put an unelected man in the White House destroying our Republic.  Some like me call it an Insurrection, others have called it a riot. Some Republicans have lied and called it a peaceful protest. The unaltered digital evidence, the same evidence that we saw during the Congression hearings shows some pretty graphic violence. Trump did everything he could to try and steal the election that he lost including encouraging and inciting the people to attack the Capitol. There was no violence on the day that Biden took office but the transfer of power was not the smooth peaceful process that Trump got from President Obama. You could say that there was no transfer of power. Trump didn’t attend the Biden inauguration; his team did not work with the Biden team to ensure a smooth transfer of power. Trump left Washington screaming that he had won the election and that the Democrats had stolen it. That is not what I would call a peaceful transfer of power. I feel that Pam Bondi lied when she said that Biden had a peaceful transfer of power after having viewed all that occurred leading up to Biden’s inauguration. Any statement that is not the truth and is meant to mislead the public should automatically disqualify the appointment of any selection.

Pam Bondi was also asked if she believed that Biden had won the election in 2020. She wouldn’t answer that. Instead, she said that Biden was the President. That is a true statement but she wasn’t answering the question. This is the person who has been picked to run the Justice Department. This person will be directly responsible for defending our laws and Constitution. Trump challenged the election results in our courts offering no evidence that Biden didn’t win. He had something like 60 court challenges denied. His own Attorney General stated that Trump lost. Trump tried to burn our Constitution and put himself in the White House. Why won’t she say that Biden won the elections even though it has been determined multiple times that he did? Is she afraid of pissing off her new boss? She has stated that she will run an independent office. How can she run an independent off if she is scared of pissing off Trump by speaking the truth during the confirmation hearing? Is it so hard to say the truth that Trump lost? She looks like she will be more of a Trump puppet than an independent Attorney General. Above everything, Trump demands loyalty to him before everything else, even before the Constitution and the law. This is going to be scary and even though she has stated that there will be no political retaliation I fear that we will be dominated by it.

As I stated earlier all these things have been televised which will create a digital record that future generations can study and view like they are seeing it live. Future generations will know that Pam Bondi lied during the confirmation hearing. In fact, all the lies and misinformation will be there for future generations to study. It is not like Trump can take office and have all the evidence erased. This evidence is out on the cloud all over the world and backed up and servers all over the world. I have no idea what these people are thinking with all the lies and misinformation. They cannot be undone. Historians will eventually discover the truth and in today's digital age, people won’t even have to leave their homes in their search for the truth.

We always talk about legacies. What will Biden's legacy be? It has not been written yet. Will it be one of truth and working for the people? What with the members of Congress's legacy be that went on witch hunts against Biden's family? What will Speaker Johnson's legacy be who many feel is just a liar and a puppet for Trump? History will know those who put the Party before the Country and the Constitution. Historians write history, not politicians.  No matter what people think, over time history will get it right. They will know the lies. They will know the truths.
