It is a government by chaos. I fear that the longer Trump is in office, the more chaotic things will become. Also, in my opinion, the longer that Trump is in office, the more corrupt we become as a country. We have Cabinet Members and the Vice President using a public social media chat app to communicate with each other. At the same time, we attack another country, putting our armed forces at risk. We have a president who is still calling for the annexing of Canada. We have a Vice President who is waving to nonexistent crowds in Greenland. We have Elon Musk talking about discovering all this fraud, yet there has not been a single arrest or charge filed against these so-called fraudsters. There have not even been any accusations on who is committing this fraud. Every day, we seem to be running more and more like a police state than a free country. What has become of the United States? If you watch Fox News, you would think that everything is fine when it isn’t. I also know if the Biden administration had done any of this, Fox News would be going ballistic, calling for the Impeachment of Biden and the jailing of his entire administration. This is the problem with what is happening today. Too many people are willing to believe the lies that are weakening our nation and not search for the truth so they can help strengthen our nation.

One of the most disturbing videos I have observed this week is the one of Rumeysa Ozturks, a Turkish national, being detained by ICE agents wearing hoodies and masks. As of Wednesday, she was being held in a South Louisiana Ice Processing Center. It appears she committed no crime. News reports state the Ozturks has been involved in pro-Palestinian activity. What she did was she co-wrote an op-ed in the Tufts student newspaper, criticizing the university's response to Israel’s attacks on Gaza and the Palestinians.  This followed earlier this month, DHS agents arrested Mahmoud Khalil, A former Columbia University graduate student, who helped organize the pro-Palestinian movement at the school. I guess free speech is not a thing in America anymore, especially if you are not born here. I guess that due process is not a thing anymore in America, either. Free speech and due process were two of the pillars that made America great, and it appears that they are slowly slipping away. Our Secretary of State has stated that we will continue to revoke visas of “people that are supportive of movements that run counter to the foreign policy of the United States”. Is this something that a free country does? What is next?  Are they going to come after citizens that support things counter to the Foreign Policy of whatever administration is in office at the time? I had a person in my own home last week tell me that people who don’t love America should leave. That is an old line that has been used by people who want to suppress free speech and who don’t believe in the Constitution. We heard it a lot in the 60s when they said, “America, love it or leave it”, and we are still hearing things like this today.

Trump is still talking about annexing Canada. I would think that it was a joke if it wasn’t coming from his mouth. Why would Canada want to become the mess that is now America? Why would Canada want to give up its freedom for Trump? I looked up Canada in the World Population Review, and it was rated number 5 behind the Scandinavian countries of Finland, Sweden, and Norway and then the South Pacific country of New Zealand.  Canada has Human Freedom at 8.55, and the United States has it at 8.39. Canada has Global Freedom at 97, and the United States has it at 83. Media Freedom Canada is at 81.7, and the United States is at 66.6. Canada has a Personal Freedom Score of 8.96 and the United States is at 8.57. Canada has an Economic Freedom Score of 7.98 and the United States is at 8.14. Numbers don’t lie. Canada is a freer country than the United States is in almost all categories but one. After looking at the numbers, if you were a Canadian Citizen, would you want to become part of the United States? By the way, all these scores were from 2024 before Trump took office. Since Trump took office, we have now been put on the Democracy Watch List. Our freedoms are now declining faster than at any point that I can remember. People are being arrested by masked men in hooded sweatshirts with no warrants and no due process; we now have our own Gestapo.

The Vice President visited Greenland with his wife and held a press conference like he was talking with the people of Greenland. Of course, he never left our Airforce Base and he wasn’t welcomed by anybody in Greenland except our own military, but what the hell. I have read that they approached a hundred households, and nobody was interested in meeting with the second lady. Vance and his entourage were not welcome in Greenland. Sometimes, I think he is living in some imaginary world. As he was boarding the plane three hours later, he waved to an imaginary crowd that wasn’t there. His wife was much smarter than him and just boarded the plane. On Greenland, Vance said, “Our message to Demark is very simple: You have not done a good job by the people of Greenland. You have underinvested in the people of Greenland and you have underinvested in the security architecture of this incredible, beautiful landmass filled with incredible people. That has to change.” Vance said the U. S. has no option but to take a significant position to ensure independence from Demark. The people of Greenland are not complaining at all about Demark. This to me, sounds like a threat to an ally by Vance. At least Denmark used to be an Ally. We almost sound more like Putin and Russia than we sound like America anytime in our history.

I am worried about America, and I think that the world is worried about America. The damage that Trump, the Republican Party, and Fox News has done to our Republic will take generations to repair. It will not be repaired in my lifetime.

  1. I fear that we're actually going to seize Greenland by force. With Vance now threatening it, I'm worried we're in the stage where it get says so much, it happens. Trump's media fans are now acting like its no big deal.

    The longer this goes on, the worst it becomes.

  2. I am worried about America, and I think that the world is worried about America.

    It seems to me that we've moved beyond repairing anything. We're in full national nuclear meltdown and despite some signs the Democrats are beginning to organize an opposition the majority of them still haven't pulled their heads out of their backsides. Chuck Schumer and John Fetterman being prime examples.

    I've been a "worst case scenario" type since the night Trump won back in November. This goes as far as me doubting we'll have free and far elections in 2028. And honestly, I have doubts about 2026.

This is my continued search on whether Trump has the Character to be President. A person I know stated “His character matters bc it is in the character I believe he has the leadership, knowledge, wisdom, experience, compassion, integrity that will lead us on the path towards a more safe, secure, healthy, prosperous, free world than the direction we are headed.” My last blog looked at his character as integrity from a legal standpoint before he even was elected President. From a legal standpoint there is no way I would have thought he had the integrity to be President.   I will tell you that I am no Christian, but I will tell you that I was raised in a Christian household. I was baptized, went to Sunday School, was Confirmed, and attended church into adulthood. Because of that upbringing, I still think about the morals I learned from that religious upbringing. To this day, I judge right and wrong by what I learned in that church.
