It is a government by chaos. I fear that the longer Trump is
in office, the more chaotic things will become. Also, in my opinion, the longer
that Trump is in office, the more corrupt we become as a country. We have Cabinet
Members and the Vice President using a public social media chat app to
communicate with each other. At the same time, we attack another country, putting
our armed forces at risk. We have a president who is still calling for the annexing
of Canada. We have a Vice President who is waving to nonexistent crowds in Greenland.
We have Elon Musk talking about discovering all this fraud, yet there has not
been a single arrest or charge filed against these so-called fraudsters. There have
not even been any accusations on who is committing this fraud. Every day, we
seem to be running more and more like a police state than a free country. What
has become of the United States? If you watch Fox News, you would think that
everything is fine when it isn’t. I also know if the Biden administration had
done any of this, Fox News would be going ballistic, calling for the Impeachment
of Biden and the jailing of his entire administration. This is the problem with
what is happening today. Too many people are willing to believe the lies that
are weakening our nation and not search for the truth so they can help
strengthen our nation.
One of the most disturbing videos I have observed this week
is the one of Rumeysa Ozturks, a Turkish national, being detained by ICE agents
wearing hoodies and masks. As of Wednesday, she was being held in a South Louisiana
Ice Processing Center. It appears she committed no crime. News reports state
the Ozturks has been involved in pro-Palestinian activity. What she did was she
co-wrote an op-ed in the Tufts student newspaper, criticizing the university's response
to Israel’s attacks on Gaza and the Palestinians. This followed earlier this month, DHS agents arrested
Mahmoud Khalil, A former Columbia University graduate student, who helped
organize the pro-Palestinian movement at the school. I guess free speech is not
a thing in America anymore, especially if you are not born here. I guess that due
process is not a thing anymore in America, either. Free speech and due process
were two of the pillars that made America great, and it appears that they are
slowly slipping away. Our Secretary of State has stated that we will continue
to revoke visas of “people that are supportive of movements that run counter to
the foreign policy of the United States”. Is this something that a free country
does? What is next? Are they going to come
after citizens that support things counter to the Foreign Policy of whatever administration
is in office at the time? I had a person in my own home last week tell me that people
who don’t love America should leave. That is an old line that has been used by
people who want to suppress free speech and who don’t believe in the Constitution.
We heard it a lot in the 60s when they said, “America, love it or leave it”,
and we are still hearing things like this today.
Trump is still talking about annexing Canada. I would think that
it was a joke if it wasn’t coming from his mouth. Why would Canada want to
become the mess that is now America? Why would Canada want to give up its freedom
for Trump? I looked up Canada in the World Population Review, and it was rated
number 5 behind the Scandinavian countries of Finland, Sweden, and Norway and then
the South Pacific country of New Zealand. Canada has Human Freedom at 8.55, and the
United States has it at 8.39. Canada has Global Freedom at 97, and the United
States has it at 83. Media Freedom Canada is at 81.7, and the United States is
at 66.6. Canada has a Personal Freedom Score of 8.96 and the United States is
at 8.57. Canada has an Economic Freedom Score of 7.98 and the United States is
at 8.14. Numbers don’t lie. Canada is a freer country than the United States is
in almost all categories but one. After looking at the numbers, if you were a
Canadian Citizen, would you want to become part of the United States? By the
way, all these scores were from 2024 before Trump took office. Since Trump took
office, we have now been put on the Democracy Watch List. Our freedoms are now
declining faster than at any point that I can remember. People are being arrested
by masked men in hooded sweatshirts with no warrants and no due process; we now
have our own Gestapo.
The Vice President visited Greenland with his wife and held
a press conference like he was talking with the people of Greenland. Of course,
he never left our Airforce Base and he wasn’t welcomed by anybody in Greenland
except our own military, but what the hell. I have read that they approached a hundred
households, and nobody was interested in meeting with the second lady. Vance
and his entourage were not welcome in Greenland. Sometimes, I think he is
living in some imaginary world. As he was boarding the plane three hours later,
he waved to an imaginary crowd that wasn’t there. His wife was much smarter than
him and just boarded the plane. On Greenland, Vance said, “Our message to
Demark is very simple: You have not done a good job by the people of Greenland.
You have underinvested in the people of Greenland and you have underinvested in
the security architecture of this incredible, beautiful landmass filled with incredible
people. That has to change.” Vance said the U. S. has no option but to take a
significant position to ensure independence from Demark. The people of Greenland
are not complaining at all about Demark. This to me, sounds like a threat to an
ally by Vance. At least Denmark used to be an Ally. We almost sound more like
Putin and Russia than we sound like America anytime in our history.
I am worried about America, and I think that the world is
worried about America. The damage that Trump, the Republican Party, and Fox News
has done to our Republic will take generations to repair. It will not be
repaired in my lifetime.
I fear that we're actually going to seize Greenland by force. With Vance now threatening it, I'm worried we're in the stage where it get says so much, it happens. Trump's media fans are now acting like its no big deal.
ReplyDeleteThe longer this goes on, the worst it becomes.
I am worried about America, and I think that the world is worried about America.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that we've moved beyond repairing anything. We're in full national nuclear meltdown and despite some signs the Democrats are beginning to organize an opposition the majority of them still haven't pulled their heads out of their backsides. Chuck Schumer and John Fetterman being prime examples.
I've been a "worst case scenario" type since the night Trump won back in November. This goes as far as me doubting we'll have free and far elections in 2028. And honestly, I have doubts about 2026.
