Trump is mad at the press again. I know Trump is always mad at the press, and this time it is for writing about him tanking in the polls. Trump's poll rating is just 39 percent after the first 100 days. That is the lowest rating after the first 100 days in my lifetime, and I have seen 14 different administrations in my lifetime.     I started with Eisenhower, the 34 th president, and now to Trump at 47. Trump's reaction to these polls is very predictable, he is calling for an investigation into these polls, claiming “voter fraud”. On Truth Social, he wrote. “They are negative criminals who apologize to their subscribers and readers after I win the elections big. Much bigger than their polls showed, I would win, loose a lot of credibility, and then go on cheating and lying for the next cycle, only worse.” Trump also wrote. “Great pollster John McLaughlin, one of the most highly respected in the industry, has just stated that the failing New York Times poll, and the ABC/...
When will the nation get tired of Trump always lying to them? I am not saying that Trump is just wrong sometimes because there is a huge difference between being wrong and lying. Trump claimed the price of eggs had gone down 94 percent since he took office. When Trump took office, eggs were almost 5 dollars a dozen. If eggs were down 94 percent, that would convert to under 40 cents per dozen. He had also claimed the price of groceries had come down when, in fact, in March, they had risen at a rate that we haven’t seen since 2022, and the tariffs had not kicked in yet. Last Thursday, Trump claimed gas hit under $2.00 a gallon in a couple of states. No state has an average below $2.70 a gallon. What I will never understand is why he says things that are so easily proven false. Is it that he thinks the American people are so stupid that we will believe anything he says, or is it that too many Americans hate the same things he does, so they don’t care he lies? Trump says he is curr...
Trump and social media are dangerous. His Easter message was not what I would call a spiritually inspirational post honoring the sacrifice Jesus was supposed to have made. Here is what he posted. “Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well-known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our County. Happy Easter also to the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue, and an attack so violent that it will never be forgotten! Sleepy Joe Biden purposely allowed Millions of CRIMINALS to enter our Country, totally unvetted and unchecked, through an Open Border Policy that will go down in history as the single most calamitous act perpetrated upon America. He was, by far, our WORST and most Incompetent President, a man who had no idea what he was doing – But to him, and   to the person th...
Students die in America at a rate that is unprecedented around the rest of the world. To find a country that has more children killed by guns, you would probably have to go to one of those war-torn third-world countries. According to the Brady website, you are 26 times more likely to be shot at in America than in any other high-income country. 327 people are shot in the United States every day, with 117 dying. Every day, 23 minors are shot in the United States. Mass shootings make up most of the gun violence news, but only represent 1 percent of the shootings in the United States. The United States has 121 guns per 100 people, meaning that we have more guns than people. The United States makes up 37 percent of all firearm suicides. Over one million people have been shot in the United States in the last decade. In 2021, the United States had over 48 thousand deaths by guns. In 2022, we had 645 mass shootings alone. 90 percent of all firearms used in crimes are sold by 5 percent of...
As I began writing this, Trump was honoring President Nayib Bukele, who is likely the most popular leader in all of El Salvador. El Salvador has been in the news frequently due to the prison we are operating in collaboration with the Salvadoran government. When I started reading about him, in many ways, I thought I was reading about Trump or at least how Trump wants things to be. Since 2022, he has ruled under emergency powers that suspended key civil liberties, including due process. His security officers can make arrests without warrants, including minors as young as 12, and haul hundreds of suspects into mass trials. One in every 57 Salvadorans is now incarcerated; that is triple the rate of the United States and the highest in the world. Bukele’s allies have fired top judges and packed the courts with loyalists. As I was reading about El Salvador, I realized that there is nothing original about Trump and what he wants to do. He not only wants to be a ruler like Hitler but he ...
I get tired of some politician standing there, looking into the camera, and saying that we are the greatest country on Earth. What makes a nation great? One thing I believe is that a government does not make a nation great. What makes a nation great is what that Government does for the people. What makes a nation great is what it does for the world. What makes a nation great is what it does for the least among us, not for those who have the most. There was a segment on the HBO program The Newsroom, where Jeff Daniels' character was asked what made America the greatest country in the world. In part of his speech, he cited that America was 7 th in literacy, 27 th in math, 22 nd in science, 49 th in life expectancy, 178 th in infant mortality, third in median household income, number 4 in labor force, and number four in exports. He went on to state that we were number one in three categories: the number of people incarcerated, the number of adults who believed angels are real, ...
On April 5 th, I was out protesting with about 2000 people in the Ft. Myers area. It was what I thought was a decent showing. The group was very energetic and respectful. For the most part, the passing vehicles on Highway 41 were generally positive, but there were a few that weren’t. We had one truck go by where the male driver was yelling out the window at us, and his elementary school children yelled at us, too. I thought that was a great example of how not to parent a child. Of course, we had the big trucks squealing their tires and trying to intimidate us. There were also the cars and trucks that would drive back and forth with their Trump flags flying, trying to look like the Taliban.   There was even one truck flying a “Women for Trump” flag; the flag was pink like they were a cancer supporter, but we know the Republicans don’t support medical research, let alone cancer research for women. Why a woman would support a man who would take away most of their rights and th...
The four American soldiers who died in a NATO exercise have returned to the United States. The soldiers were part of the 1 st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3 rd Infantry Division. They were participating in a tactical training exercise. The four soldiers were Sgt. Jose Duenez, Jr from Joliet, Illinois. Sgt. Edwin F. Franco from Glendale, California; Pfc. Dante D. Taitano from Dededo, Guam; and Staff Sgt. Troy S. Knutson-Collins from Battle Creek, Michigan. On Tuesday, press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated at the briefing, “The President, the Secretary of Defense, and the entire White House are praying for the victim, friends, and family during this unimaginable time. This is another stark reminder of the selfless sacrifice of our brave military men and women who risk their lives around the world every day to keep us safe. God bless them”. Those are nice words, but I question whether they are coming from the President. We are talking about a President who didn’t even know that ...
We are a fascist state when we have ICE agents not in uniforms and hiding their faces behind masks. That is right. We have a law enforcement agency that is running around more like the Gestapo of Nazi Germany than what we are supposed to have and what is valued in America. We are sending not only undocumented immigrants but also asylum seekers and foreigners on student visas to detention camps here and on foreign soil. They are just being snatched off the streets with no due process. This is not the America I grew up in. This is nowhere to be found in the religion I learned and practiced in my youth. This is like fascism. Every day, we seem to hear the term “Extreme Left Judges.” It doesn’t matter whether it is a judge appointed by a Republican president or a Democratic president. If that judge disagrees with any of Trump's executive orders, he or she is being branded as a “Radical Judge”. These so-called “Rogue Judges” are being attacked by much of the Republican Party besides...
