Every once in a while, a question hits so hard that it refuses to leave. For many Americans — especially those who grew up in Christian churches — one of those questions is this: How can any church that claims to follow Jesus support the harshest actions of ICE, including the recent shootings in Minnesota? You don’t need a degree in theology to feel the contradiction. You only need common sense, and common sense tells us something is deeply off when the teachings of Jesus — a man who spent His life defending the vulnerable — are used to justify policies that break families apart and, in recent cases, end in fatal shootings. Let’s walk through this plainly, without spin. The Minnesota shootings exposed the moral contradiction in real time. On January 7, 2026, ICE officers fatally shot Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis. The shooting sparked immediate outrage, protests, and national scrutiny. The situation escalated further when protesters disrupted a church service in St. Paul ...
If We Want to Beat China, We Need a Smarter Plan Than Just Tariffs . A lot of Americans are frustrated with China — and for good reason. I am frustrated with China. They cheat on trade, steal technology, and undercut American workers. People want a president who stands up for the United States and doesn’t let China push us around. That instinct is right. But the way we fight back matters. Tariffs sound tough. They feel like we’re finally punching back. But here’s the truth most politicians won’t say out loud: Tariffs don’t make China pay. They make us pay. And they make China stronger in the long run. Here lies a major problem: our government is not being honest with us. If we want to beat China — really beat them — we need a strategy that actually helps American workers instead of accidentally or intentionally helping Beijing. Let’s break it down in plain English. Tariffs Are Basically a Tax on Americans . When the U.S. puts a tariff on something coming from China, th...
I was reading on social media that France and Ukraine had supplied the Trump Administration with some secret intelligence, and that information was leaked to the Russian Government. It stated the United States could no longer be trusted with secret intelligence. Now I don’t get my news from social media because too much of it is not true or very misleading, just like I don’t get my news from cable news or CBS. After all, too much of that is not true or misleading. In fact, I get most of my news by reading. I always research information like that, and what I found was that there was no reputable information showing the Trump administration had leaked French and Ukrainian intelligence. It did state that there are credible reports and a lot of confusion being mixed with older scandals. What would give merit to a story like that? Maybe because back in 2017, Trump did disclose highly classified information in an Oval Office meeting with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and Russian Fo...
I went in search to see if any national election, Presidential or Congressional had ever been canceled. Ever since 1788, every Presidential and Congressional election has been held on time. We have had the Civil War, World Wars, and pandemics, and every federal election has proceeded on schedule. Why? I would want to think America has always embraced the vision of Representative Government that our Founding Fathers believed in and fought for. They wrote and confirmed our Constitution, showing the entire world their vision of democracy. We have had historical stress tests on why continuing our elections even during a national election matters. In 1864, our country was literally at war with itself in the Great Civil War. Lincoln insisted the election proceed, arguing that cancelling it would be a victory for disunion. Voters cast their ballots even from the battlefields, showing that during times of stress, we had to adapt so people could vote. During the Great Depression in 1932...
I watched the video. I have watched the video multiple times. On January 7 th, a woman in Minneapolis, Renne Good, was shot and killed. Was she a terrorist? Was she even a protester? The answer to both those questions was “no”. What was she then? She was a woman who had dropped her child off at school and was trying to go home. She lived in the neighborhood. No evidence links her to the protest whatsoever. There is no evidence that she was interfering with ICE at all. She was just trying to go home. In my opinion, a woman was shot and killed and would be alive and home today if ICE had followed procedure. The fact is, this is a woman who should be alive today. What did the Trump administration do right after the shooting? They branded her as a violent extremist. Claimed the agent acted in self-defense. Try to use the incident to justify broader crackdowns on dissent. The entire administration has tried to discredit critics and control the narrative. I have watched the videos. ...
Are we the bad guys?   We have now bombed Venezuela. A nation that poses no threat to us at all. I never go to sleep worrying about the Venezuelan Army marching down the streets to Ft Myers.   I never thought we would have to fortify our beautiful beach to fend off an invasion. What are the reasons I think we should be bombing another country? I would think they would have to pose a serious military threat to our nation. Does Venezuela pose that threat? Not in my book. Have we had any terrorist attacks sent by a Venezuelan terrorist group? The last terrorist attack I can remember was performed by domestic terrorists 5 years ago, attacking our Capitol and trying to stop Congress from performing its constitutional duty. We kidnapped Venezuelan President Maduro and his wife and are holding them for trial. What is he charged with? First, U.S. prosecutors claimed that Maduro was part of a 25-year conspiracy to traffic cocaine into the United States in coordination with des...
We are now into the New Year, 2025 is gone, and 2026 is here. I look at 2025 as kind of a disaster that I am glad is gone. Is 2026 going to be better? I don’t think so. I can see an increase in measles in 2026. I wouldn’t be surprised to see COVID make a comeback. Even though many more clergy have been speaking out about how people have turned their backs on the teachings of Jesus, I still see the Christian National Movement walking hand in hand with the Fascism of the Trump administration. I can see State Rights diminishing more than they did in 2025. The persecution of immigrants and minorities will continue just like it did in 2025. I can see the demonization of the poor continuing. I think we will continue to see the wealth gap continue to grow. I can see us having to fight for battles that we thought we had won, such as affordable healthcare and women's rights. I can’t see our affordability crisis going away. Once prices go up, you very seldom see them go back down. I also s...
