It has now been a half a year since the insurrection. This was not a just a criminal act. This was an act of terrorism meant to overthrow a branch of our government. I cannot believe that there has not been very much accountability so far. Accountability has to start at the top. The insurrectionist was not just spontaneous mob attacking the Capital. People were wearing tactical gear. This was planned ahead of time with what I suspect was with the cooperation of some people in our Government. Treasonous acts are more than criminal acts and they need to be treated as such.

I have seen a lot Republicans compare the insurrection to the rioting that has been happening because of police brutality. As I have stated I grew up in the 50s and 60s. I have seen my fair share of rioting. I have never met anyone that said that rioting was ok. I did hear that violence was the language of the unheard. You treat people as if they are not worthy or invisible they will eventually rebel. We have treated whole races of people in this country as if they were not worthy, not equal since the beginning of this country. Blacks are not the only ones. Hispanic, Asian and other nationalities and groups have been treated very unjustly in this country. People marched. People tried to suppress the marchers and the marchers fought back. We do not seem to learn because we keep on repeating the same problems over and over again.

As I stated many Republicans have compare the Black Lives Matters movement to the attack on the Capital. As I have stated I have lived through the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and now. I have never seen anything like what I saw on Jan 6th. The Black Lives protesters wanted equal justice. The insurrectionist wanted to destroy a branch of our government. They hunted for the Vice President and the Speaker of the House. The line of succession to the Presidency. They wanted to install a person President that had not been elected. It wasn’t that their voices were not heard. The election was where our voices are heard and Trump Lost. The nation had spoken. They didn’t like what the nation had said and they were going to change it through violence. They have other words for that. Treason and Terrorism are a couple of word that come to mind. The fact that some Congressmen were afraid to vote for impeachment out of fear for their safety and the safety of their families shows you that it was a terrorist act. That is how terrorism works. Are we now a country that is ok with terrorism as long as it is domestic terrorism? I hope not.

I have not seen much movement from anyone in law enforcement to try and punish the insurrectionist. Yea I see that they have arrested a bunch of the actual insurrectionist but just the gophers. The guys that were duped into believing the lies but not one of the people telling the lies. We have a wife of a Supreme Court Justice that was cheering on the insurrectionist. Why is that man still a Supreme Court Justice? Don’t tell me he can separate his home life from his position on the court. This women it is rumored would send memos to President Trump about people disloyal to Trump in the administration. She met with Trump to discuss government appointments of people loyal to Trump. You cannot tell me she does not expect her husband to be loyal to Trump. Clarence Thomas should not be on the bench because you cannot trust his decisions.  The accountability within the government for the insurrection is nonexistent as far as I can see.

Everywhere you turn you see the Republican Party putting up road blocks from us learning the truth. Why? Could it be that this was a Republican Insurrection? It sure seems to look that way. Do I think that all Republicans were in favor of the insurrection? No, of course not. I will guarantee you that no Democrats were. There have been very few Republicans that seem to want to get to the bottom of this. Do they feel that it is just a political ploy like the Benghazi hearings were? Well the insurrection was no political ploy and if the Democrats get some advantage from it it’s because a portion of the Republican Party tried to overthrow our government. That is some pretty serious stuff. The fact that most of the prominent Republicans have voted against an investigation looks to me like they have put the Republican Party before the country. Any true patriot Republican or Democrat should want to hold the people that wanted to destroy our democracy accountable.

We need a strong and fair Republican Party just like we need a strong and fair Democratic Party. Our system will only work unless there are two parties wanting to move the country forward and listening to the people. If these Republican do not want to be that then we need some other Party that does. I am glad that Trump is no longer in office and Biden is doing a good job of moving the country forward. I am very disappointed in the Biden Department of Justice. There are terrorist still with close ties to our government and even part of government that need to be dealt with. Accountability has to start at the top. They go after the little guys that have been duped into believing the lies but not the ones that sent them with those lies.

The lying has to stop. Whatever branch of the government is talking the lying has to stop. To put America first you have to put the Constitution and the people first. If you do not believe in the first three words of the Constitution “We The People” then you don’t believe in the rest. That document is what defines America.

  We are a fascist state when we have ICE agents not in uniforms and hiding their faces behind masks. That is right. We have a law enforcement agency that is running around more like the Gestapo of Nazi Germany than what we are supposed to have and what is valued in America. We are sending not only undocumented immigrants but also asylum seekers and foreigners on student visas to detention camps here and on foreign soil. They are just being snatched off the streets with no due process. This is not the America I grew up in. This is nowhere to be found in the religion I learned and practiced in my youth. This is like fascism. Every day, we seem to hear the term “Extreme Left Judges.” It doesn’t matter whether it is a judge appointed by a Republican president or a Democratic president. If that judge disagrees with any of Trump's executive orders, he or she is being branded as a “Radical Judge”.   Every elected official swears an oath to defend the Constitution. Not a party. Not a President, nor any individual. Not a social media following. They swear an oath to the Constitution.
