As it should be January 6th is dominating the news. The documents that have been turned over to the committee by Mark Meadows are explosive. This was a planned coup and the plan ran deep into the Republican Party. Another question is how much did Fox News know and when did they know it. Was the conservative news group part of the plot to overturn the election? It looks like the more the committee digs the darker things become. Did any of the other News Outlets know what was going on because it appears Fox sure did. Having the news to spin the story correctly would be paramount to the success of the coup.

There have been text messages released of Fox News personalities pleading with Trump to tell his supporters to leave the Capital. They knew whose supporters they were. Then go on the news trying to spin the story away from Trump. All the garbage that we heard about these people was Antifa were just lies. That is Lies with a big capital L. Other conservative news outlets tried to spin the story the same way. They knew they were lying but they didn’t care. Why didn’t they care? Is it because they are part of the story? Part of the Insurrection? I am sorry but these are not news outlets and should not be protected by the First Amendment. If they are not going to accurately investigate and report the news and instead support lawlessness and insurrection they are not a news outlet. To have a really successful coup you need to control the narrative. Was the Fox News job?  I get tired of the truth being a liberal thing. The truth is the truth and the truth is Fox News is not telling us everything they know and are not trying to accurately inform the American People. They should be shut down and Murdock should be hauled in front of Congress to explain why.

Mark Meadows turned over a  ton of documents before he decided to end his cooperation with the committee. There is a Power Point presentation on how they were going to subvert the will of the people and basically destroy our Constitution. It is a step by step procedure on how to steal the election. I don’t mean the lie like Trump and others have been spewing but how to actually steal the election. How many Republicans had seen that Power Point presentation before January 6th? How many Republicans knew that the Trump Administration was attempting to overthrow our government? We have no idea how many people saw that presentation but the results of the election to certify the elections speak volumes. How far were some members of Congress willing to go to overthrow the election and our Constitution? What actually did Mike Pence know and why has he not been in front of the committee?  Why did he not let himself get whisked away by the Secret Service that night? There are a lot of questions that must be answered. His staff is already talking to the Committee so it may just be a matter of time.

The narrative, almost immediately from people like Matt Gaetz, was that they people that stormed the capital were not Trump supporters. The lying seemed to start almost before the insurrectionists left the building. Matt Gaetz said that facial recognition spotted to Antifa members disguised as Trump supporters. He was spouting that the same day as the insurrection. There was no way the FBI could have run facial recognition software and identified two Antifa members and gotten the information to Matt Gaetz of all people? The lying started right away on the floor of the Capital before they had adjourned the early morning of Jan. 7th and has just gotten worse with time. It is almost like some of the stuff was rehearsed ahead of time.

Our Democracy was attacked on Jan. 6th make no mistake about it. The insurrectionists were sent by the outgoing President of the United States Donald Trump. Our democracy, I feel, is hanging on by a shoe string. It seems the more time is taken the more our democracy is slipping away. The lying and misinformation from the Republican Party and conservative news outlets like Fox News has just weakened our nation not only at home but abroad. Accountability has to start at the top and not just with some poor sucker that was duped into believing all the lies.

  We are a fascist state when we have ICE agents not in uniforms and hiding their faces behind masks. That is right. We have a law enforcement agency that is running around more like the Gestapo of Nazi Germany than what we are supposed to have and what is valued in America. We are sending not only undocumented immigrants but also asylum seekers and foreigners on student visas to detention camps here and on foreign soil.
