Jim Jordan has been in the news about not cooperating with the Jan 6th commission. That should not be surprising to anyone that follows the news. What I find surprising is that Jim Jordan is in Congress at all. Six of his former wrestlers had come forward to say while they were on his wrestling team he was an assistant coach and they were sexually molested by the team doctor. This is a similar story that happened at Michigan State and at Penn State. The Michigan Sates sexual abuse was a huge scandal that made every news publication in the world. So was the Penn State scandal. Careers were ruined because of these scandals.

Joe Paterno will be linked forever with Jerry Sandusky and the Jerry Sandusky Child abuse scandal. Joe Paterno did not participate in the abuse and he did not try to cover up the abuse. He did the bare minimum that was required for his job. He did not do enough to protect those young boys but he did not commit any crime. He was fired and disgraced for all eternity and died a short time later. Did anything that happened to Paterno really change anything? Not really. Yes, Joe Paterno should have done more being the leader that he was but we lost sight that Jerry Sandusky was the real criminal while the press just crucified Paterno. I can still hear the guys on Mike & Mike crucifying Paterno. Was it right? Because of the scandals that happened later I think, no.

Michigan State had one of the worst sexual abuse scandals in the history of this country. Larry Nasser had over 150 victims and his abuse went on for years. Did Michigan State learn anything? Not enough apparently because it had the scandals from the men’s basketball team and the cover-up. Why wasn’t Tom Isso crucified like Paterno? The press really went after Paterno but Isso there was barely and blimp on the screen. I will ask you why is Isso still working? After Sandusky and Nasser is Joe Paterno the only one that was supposed to be protecting people? Why are some people given a free pass by society and the press and some aren’t? Why was the press so quick to destroy only Paterno?

Now we come to Jim Jordan. There was Dr. Straus, who has commited suicide, is to have commited over 170 sexual abuses while at Ohio State. It appears that 22 coaches knew that this was going on and did nothing. Some of Jim Jordan’s wrestlers claim that he knew about it and did nothing. Why is Jim Jordan given a free pass? They destroyed Paterno but too many are given a free pass that was supposed to be protecting our children from these sexual predators. If 22 coaches knew I would bet that most of them knew. Wrestlers under Jim Jordan have stated that he knew and did nothing. Almost sound like his political career. Doing nothing. News that he is not going to be cooperative with the Jan 6th committee should come as no surprise. It sounds like he didn’t protect the young men in his care and we should not expect him to protect our constitution or our democracy.

Jim Jordan has proven to me that the Party of Family values, the Republican Party, only values power and will say anything to stay in power. When you are entrusted with the safety of our young people that trust has to be taken more seriously than a basketball game, football game or a wrestling match. Has anything really changed? I will say no. The party of family values elected for President a man that has admitted to sexual assault, accused of rape and using his power and money to abuse just about anyone. We heard the recording and the words for the man’s own mouth. But they supported him anyways. Jim Jordan not surprising has been a staunch defender of that man. Can we just admit that birds of a feather stick together?

There’s a simple way to judge a country: look at whose lives it protects, and whose lives it’s willing to forget. For years now, we’ve heard the phrase “All Lives Matter.” It sounds fair. It sounds equal. It sounds like common sense. But a country doesn’t reveal its values through slogans. It reveals them through actions, through the lives it defends, the lives it ignores, and the lives it quietly pushes out of sight. And lately, America has been doing a whole lot of looking away. When Black Americans said they were being killed during traffic stops and routine encounters, the response from many leaders wasn’t concern; it was irritation. Instead of saying, “Let’s fix the problem so fewer people die,” we heard “Blue Lives Matter,” “Stop resisting,” and “BLM is a terrorist group.” A man died in a chokehold on camera. We all saw, from the beginning to the end. It was like a modern-day lynching. Millions marched peacefully. The answer from those in power was “law and order,” and “...
On Saturday, I was looking at Facebook and a person I was friends with, in fact, someone I went to High School with, posted something I knew was wrong. The post claimed that four lawmakers in Colorado decided jail time shouldn’t be mandatory for people who committed sexual assault of children. She claimed they were pedophile protectors. I opened up Perplexity and asked about the situation, and this is the reply I got back: You’re referring to a recent controversy in Colorado over a proposed bill that would change sentencing rules for certain sex crimes. Here are the verified facts to clarify what’s actually happening: • In early 2026, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee held a vote on a sentencing reform bill that aimed to give judges more discretion in certain felony cases. • Some lawmakers voted against an amendment that would have made mandatory prison sentences apply to all sex crimes, including child sexual assault, preferring instead to let judges determine sentences...
Dove or hawk? Donald Trump ran for President promising to end “endless wars”, avoid new ones, and put American families first. He cast himself as an outsider who would bring peace – the only candidate who wouldn’t drag America into another conflict. The message worked because let's face it, after so many years in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was tired of war. As a country, we were all tired of War. The country wanted stability, not another generation of men and women sent into danger. But once in office, he governed very differently. He governed like a Hawk, quick to threaten, quick to escalate, and willing to use both bombs and tariffs as weapons. What was missing wasn’t just consistency. It was an honor: the sense of responsibility and restraint that should come with the power to risk other people's sons and daughters. This isn’t about ideology. It's about whether someone who promised peace, but repeatedly chooses confrontation, can still claim to be a “dove”. A core...
