The Defensive Coordinator of the Washington Commanders gave an interview calling the January 6th insurrection a “dust up”. He compared them as not as serious as the Black Lives Matter protests where buildings were burned and what he said lively hoods were destroyed. Yes, the violence at the Black Lives Matter protests was not a good thing and most everyone wished it would have not happened. Violence just gets more violence. To compare the two is like comparing the moon to the sun. The differences are as great as night and day. One is trying to promote change but I will admit the violence that happened in about 3 percent of the protests was not in my opinion promoting change. It is just making change harder. The “dust up”, as Jack Del Rio called it, was a group of people trying to overthrow a branch of our Government to put an unelected man in the White House. Yes, to compare the two is stupid. Justifying the January 6th attack is justifying the attempted overthrow of our Government. This was a statement from a man that works in a league that is probably over 75% black.  I can’t say that Jack Del Rio is a racist but many racists have said the same thing as him. I don’t see stupid statements like that is a very good way to inspire people to follow you.

The first hearing is now over and everyone has a three day weekend until the next one. I watched on the witness stand Caroline Edwards recount what happened that day. I hope everyone was appalled with what they heard. I watched the video that had never been aired before and I hope that everyone was as appalled as I was with what we saw. I hope everyone truly appreciates the sacrifice that a few made that day to save our Democratic Republic. You see I support the “Blues” all over this country that protect and serve. These officers in blue truly stood up when the country needed them. I will say this now that if you think that the January 6th attack on our Capital was just a little “dust up”, you really do not support people in “Blue” at all. All you support is the people in Blue beating up and sometimes killing Black people. There were off duty police from around the country that participated in the insurrection. That is right. Off duty police, fighting their fellow police officers that were just trying to do their jobs and protect the Capitol. I do support the all the people in blue that protect and serve our communities every day. I support the people in blue that protect and serve. I will not support anyone that thinks of them as the law of the streets and above the law. I will not support anyone in blue that has taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution but then break their oath that they took. On January 6th we saw the very best of our people in blue. Maybe the next monument we put in the National Mall is to those brave people in Blue.

Law and order starts not with the police but it actually starts with the Constitution and the law. It is the Constitution and the law that is supposed to be guiding the police. The Police Officers job is a hard one that was made harder by people that many of them had claimed that they support the “Blue”. Some of the people that made it harder for them were people that do wear the blue and that is unforgivable. Jack Del Rio calling it just a “dust up” is a bald face lie. Representative Clyde calling it a bunch for tourist is a bald face lie. It has been stated that some Republican members of Congress asked Trump for pardons before he left office. They of course are saying that this is a lie. With all the lying that the Republicans have done about January 6th how can we possibly think that anything that comes out of their mouths now is the truth. They had a chance to help our nation by helping unite us in the wake of Trump and his insurrection.  Instead all they have done it lie.  It is the lying from Trump and his supporters that has weakened our nation and Republic. They would rather lie and destroy our democracy than work to preserve it.

Patriots do not try and destroy what our Founding Fathers fought so hard to create. Patriots do not use our flag as a weapon against the very people that have taken an oath to protect that flag and this countries’ Constitution. We need accountability not only from the people that stormed the Capitol but also for the people that planned it, sent them, and then lied about it afterward. Trump said that he was proud of all the love. What I saw was hate and violence. I saw hate against the ideals that have made America. I saw the violence that was trying to destroy America.

  1. I have followed Jack del Rio‘s career for many years, I never thought or believed that he was a racist but when you make racist comments this has to be brought into question. Do I think he should be fired no, sadly he does have freedom of speech and our constitution which is sorely written. As a democracy we eventually going to have to deal with our constitution. But that’s not on the table right now, so he has the right to make stupid statements and that’s fine. I see these types of statements as a speech. We need to do something eventually about that. And a fact we need to make hate speech illegal before we can stop it. We also must remember that he works for a private entity. The Washington Commanders owner has said many racist things as well.

This is my continued search on whether Trump has the Character to be President. A person I know stated “His character matters bc it is in the character I believe he has the leadership, knowledge, wisdom, experience, compassion, integrity that will lead us on the path towards a more safe, secure, healthy, prosperous, free world than the direction we are headed.” My last blog looked at his character as integrity from a legal standpoint before he even was elected President. From a legal standpoint there is no way I would have thought he had the integrity to be President. Now I will look at some of his Moral Integrity and Compassion that should be there from the man that sits in the White House.  I have to say something about Donald Trump, he sure is a believer in the institution of marriage. He likes marriage so much that he has said “I do” three times. What his problem with marriage is the actual vow that he has to take. You know that love, honor, and cherish until death do us part. ...
I will tell you that I am no Christian, but I will tell you that I was raised in a Christian household. I was baptized, went to Sunday School, was Confirmed, and attended church into adulthood. Because of that upbringing, I still think about the morals I learned from that religious upbringing. To this day, I judge right and wrong by what I learned in that church. There has been a little bit of a dispute between The Pope of the Catholic Church, the Trump administration, the deportations, and Catholic convert Vance and his use of the concept from the medieval Catholic theology known in Latin as “Ordo Amoris”. I guess Vance has said the concept delineates a hierarchy of care – to family first, followed by neighbor, community, fellow citizen, and lastly those elsewhere. Being raised a Protestant I had never heard of it but then the Lutheran Church has no medieval saint.   I searched on the web and asked if “Ordo Amoris” was in the Bible and the short answer would be “no”. It i...
MAGA called Biden a dictator, a Tyrant, a Nazi, a Communist, and the head of the Biden Crime Family. Biden was, of course, none of those things. Biden was a good Christian man who believed in God and the American system. When Biden said “God Bless America”, he meant it, whereas many politicians say, “God Bless America” only because they want your vote. Many people will say that Biden was weak. I don’t say that he was weak but I understand why some would say that. He believed in the system and he believed in the American people. It was our voice that was supposed to be important. It was not just his responsibility for our Democratic Republic to survive and flourish it was our responsibility too. Have we, as a country, lost our faith in our Democratic Republic? Have we lost the vision that was our Forefathers? Do today's Americans even understand what their vision was? What is a government by the People, of the People for the People?   Is that even close to what we have toda...
