I am writing this on my birthday. I have just completed my 69th trip around the sun. During that time I have gone from black and white TV to color TV and AM radio to the internet and social media. I have lived through the electronic age to the digital age. I have gone from the evening newspaper to news on demand 24 hours a day. I have witnessed the Jet Age to the Space Age. I have witnessed wars from Vietnam to Afghanistan and now wonder what did any of them accomplish?  I was born during the Polio Epidemic and so far have survived the Covid Pandemic. I have seen the riots during multiple generations and have learned when it comes to race we really have not moved very far.  I have seen now 13 presidents and may still see a couple of more in my lifetime if I am lucky.

Today I am witnessing what may just be the end of our Republic as the world has known it. Today I feel that I am witnessing our Country of laws become the Country of lawlessness. I am witnessing people protest for people that have broken the law. We are not talking about criminals like Robin Hood that stole from the rich and gave to the poor. We are witnessing people protesting for a billionaire that only takes their money. If he is so rich why does he need your money for a defense found? That is like people wanting to keep a corrupt king in power. What has this man done to make any of their lives better? I will tell you not a damn thing. He cut taxes for his rich friends but how many of you are rich? He helps 1 percent of the population and basically ignores the other 99 percent of the population. Those people out there protesting are part of the 99 percent that get ripped off by the 1 percent. To me it shows that there is a portion of our Country that does not wanted to be governed, they want to be ruled. The people defending the billionaire want a King not a President.

If I break the law they can obtain a search warrant and search my property. It is something that happens to people every day. Jim Jordon stated that if they could get a warrant and search Mar-a-Lago it can happen to any of us. Jim what country are you living in? It happens every day in America. If you are suspected of committing a crime Law Enforcement can obtain a search warrant from a Judge and to search your property for evidence. All of Trump’s Presidential documents were suppose to be, by law, sent to the National Archives. Turns out that Trump committed a crime and the National Archives filed a complaint. Trump returned 15 boxes stating that was all he took. In those 15 boxes that were returned to the National Archives there were classified documents and the National Archives notified the Justice Department. I wouldn’t be surprised that classified documents are not supposed to go to the National Archives. Trump knew since spring that the DOJ had a subpoena for the return of all documents. Trump’s attorneys stated that all the documents had been returned. Either Trump was lying to his attorneys or his attorneys were lying for Trump.  Someone from inside the Trump inner circle notified that there was still a bunch of document still at the Trump residence. A search warrant was obtained and executed. The Justice Department found an additional 15 boxes of documents that Trump should not have taken. Someone has to tell me how this is the Justice Department’s fault?  Someone has to tell me how this is judicial over reach? Someone has to tell me how this is Biden’s fault? The National Archives registered the complaint and they also notified the Justice Department of the classified documents that had been turned over to them. I am not one hundred percent sure of this but, I don’t think the classified documents should be going to the National Archives. Trump broke the law. Then Trump lied about breaking the law. Then when Trump got caught breaking the law and lying about it he calls it a witch hunt and his minions believe him. His minions run around with guns trying to intimidate our legal system because of a lie. Is this the America of the Future? Is this the America that we are leaving for our grandchildren?

It bothers me that Trump has constantly lied to the American people.  He has demanded loyalty to him above anything else including their Country and any oath that they took to that Country. Gayle Sayers once wrote a book that said “I am Third”. He put two things before him and that was his God and then his family. Trump puts absolutely nothing before him. That line that “I regret that I have just one life to give to my Country” has no meaning to a man like Trump. He has to be “numero uno”. There is no room for God, Country, or family with a man like Trump.  There is only room for him.

The biggest problem with a guy like Trump is that he never had to work for anyone. He has always been the top dog on his little Trump world. When you work for an employer most of you know that nothing is yours. Everything that we invent or develop while employed by a company like GE is the property of that company. All your papers and notes are the property of your employer. Everything down to your emails is the property of your employer. You can say that you deleted your emails and digital papers but trust me they have backups that can be restored. I did that for a living. This was probably the first time in Trump’s entire life he was an employee. Yes he was an employee of the American people. Nothing that he said or did was his during his four years. They were ours. He was not “King of America” he was the Elected President of the American People. He was employed by us and we had the power during the next election to make him an unemployed President and that is what happened. Any job that you and I would leave we could not take anything that belongs to the company with us and in many cases are made sure that we didn’t. He had never had to work under those rules his entire life. He had to have known that he was breaking the law after all the mess with Hillary and the changes he himself made to the laws when he took office. This was intentional. This was a man that thought that the laws that apply to others do not pertain to him.

Law and order has to start at the top, not at the bottom. The Republicans are now the party of lawlessness. They back insurrection of our laws and of our government. They are the party that has turned their backs on our “boys in blue” that do their job to protect and serve. They would turn us into the very that thing that we revolted against 250 years ago, a police state run by the crown. Trump committed a crime by taking the documents. Trump committed a crime by lying about returning the documents. Trump committed a crime by taking classified and top secret documents and no there is no proof that any of them were declassified. There is a procedure for that which was not followed. We have to stop listening to the lies and we have to stop letting those lies continue to damage our country. Our courts are where disputes are settled. They are not settled by armed terrorist running around. That only happens in the third world countries by those dictators that Trump admired so much.

There’s a simple way to judge a country: look at whose lives it protects, and whose lives it’s willing to forget. For years now, we’ve heard the phrase “All Lives Matter.” It sounds fair. It sounds equal. It sounds like common sense. But a country doesn’t reveal its values through slogans. It reveals them through actions, through the lives it defends, the lives it ignores, and the lives it quietly pushes out of sight. And lately, America has been doing a whole lot of looking away. When Black Americans said they were being killed during traffic stops and routine encounters, the response from many leaders wasn’t concern; it was irritation. Instead of saying, “Let’s fix the problem so fewer people die,” we heard “Blue Lives Matter,” “Stop resisting,” and “BLM is a terrorist group.” A man died in a chokehold on camera. We all saw, from the beginning to the end. It was like a modern-day lynching. Millions marched peacefully. The answer from those in power was “law and order,” and “...
On Saturday, I was looking at Facebook and a person I was friends with, in fact, someone I went to High School with, posted something I knew was wrong. The post claimed that four lawmakers in Colorado decided jail time shouldn’t be mandatory for people who committed sexual assault of children. She claimed they were pedophile protectors. I opened up Perplexity and asked about the situation, and this is the reply I got back: You’re referring to a recent controversy in Colorado over a proposed bill that would change sentencing rules for certain sex crimes. Here are the verified facts to clarify what’s actually happening: • In early 2026, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee held a vote on a sentencing reform bill that aimed to give judges more discretion in certain felony cases. • Some lawmakers voted against an amendment that would have made mandatory prison sentences apply to all sex crimes, including child sexual assault, preferring instead to let judges determine sentences...
Dove or hawk? Donald Trump ran for President promising to end “endless wars”, avoid new ones, and put American families first. He cast himself as an outsider who would bring peace – the only candidate who wouldn’t drag America into another conflict. The message worked because let's face it, after so many years in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was tired of war. As a country, we were all tired of War. The country wanted stability, not another generation of men and women sent into danger. But once in office, he governed very differently. He governed like a Hawk, quick to threaten, quick to escalate, and willing to use both bombs and tariffs as weapons. What was missing wasn’t just consistency. It was an honor: the sense of responsibility and restraint that should come with the power to risk other people's sons and daughters. This isn’t about ideology. It's about whether someone who promised peace, but repeatedly chooses confrontation, can still claim to be a “dove”. A core...
