Most of you probably do not know that I am a huge sports fan. I have been following the Packers pretty much all my life and as a grade schooler I was a Milwaukee Braves fan. My heroes in life growing up were Bart Star and Henry Aaron. Two pretty good stars to be looking up to. They were very confident, determined individuals that still maintained a certain amount of modesty and humility. They both were products of the 50s and I think their persona off-the-field reflected that. To this day that is the kind of athlete that I look for but let’s face it, sports are just a reflection of our society. Today’s sport is more of a me-me type of persona with an in your face type of attitude. In a way our politics have gone the way of sport or maybe it is that our sports have gone the way of politics.

We have politicians that believe that they should get special treatment because they are in the Senate, Congress or even the President. We have athletes that think they should get special attention because they can play a sport better than most of us. Lindsey Graham thinks because he is a Senator that gives him special privileges that the normal citizen doesn’t get. He has been fighting a subpoena to testify at the election tamperinginvestigation in Georgia. Of all the people that should be testifying is a Senator. He should be concerned about the integrity of our elections and if there was any election tampering going on I would think that it would be part of his responsibility to get to the bottom of it. Protecting our elections is not about party politics. It is about the Constitution. On the other hand, the owner of the Cleveland Browns thinks that Deshawn Watson should be able to go on with the platform that made him think that he was special and should not be held accountable. He said that everyone should be a second chance. This is true if you have admitted your guilt and paid your debt to society. If you or I try to ignore a subpoena we would be put in jail. If you or I had molested over twenty women we would be in jail because we would not have had the means to pay for it to go away. We would also have to register as a sex offender. People should not be treated like they are above the system because they are rich, or a powerful politician or, can throw a football. That is what makes our judicial system look like a joke because it is only the poor that are totally accountable to the law.

I always used to enjoy watching the PGA especially on those cool and soggy late winter, early spring days in Wisconsin. I loved watching Freddy and grew up watching Jack and Arnie. In 2016 and in 2020 Jack Nicklaus used his platform as one of the Greatest Golfers of all time to endorse Donald Trump in open letters sent to the news media. He stated that Trump truly loved America. Well Trump lost, tried to start a coup, and has truly weakened out nation. Jack was questioned about that endorsement at the Masters Press Conference and he stated that they were there to play golf not talk politics. I am sorry but that is pretty lame on Jacks part because he used his golf platform to promote a traitor and then he feels that the golf platform is not where it should be discussed. Now we have the new Saudi Arabian sponsored LIV Golf. Now I want to remind everyone right now that most of the 9/11 terrorist was from Saudi Arabia and I would also like to point out to you that Saudi Arabia had a Washington Post writer abducted murdered and dismembered in Turkey. Now we have all kinds of PGA Tour players quitting the PGA to go play for the new Saudi sponsored tournament. Theylike to show their American pride during the Ryder Cup but let’s face it these guys can be bought and throw all the USA pride out the window. The family survivors of 9/11 tried to reach out and tell them how much it hurt them but when it can down to it these already Millionaires could be bought and be bought by a country that believes that the rest of us are infidels. In America, too many times our Republic and Justice system get thrown right out the window for money whether it is the not truly holding our sports figures accountable for their actions or our Politicians and all the dark money that is being used to sway their votes. Money has always stood in the way of some patriots. Benedict Arnold was paid 10,000 pounds and a military commission in the British Army. Not that much different than Phil Michelson.

There’s a simple way to judge a country: look at whose lives it protects, and whose lives it’s willing to forget. For years now, we’ve heard the phrase “All Lives Matter.” It sounds fair. It sounds equal. It sounds like common sense. But a country doesn’t reveal its values through slogans. It reveals them through actions, through the lives it defends, the lives it ignores, and the lives it quietly pushes out of sight. And lately, America has been doing a whole lot of looking away. When Black Americans said they were being killed during traffic stops and routine encounters, the response from many leaders wasn’t concern; it was irritation. Instead of saying, “Let’s fix the problem so fewer people die,” we heard “Blue Lives Matter,” “Stop resisting,” and “BLM is a terrorist group.” A man died in a chokehold on camera. We all saw, from the beginning to the end. It was like a modern-day lynching. Millions marched peacefully. The answer from those in power was “law and order,” and “...
On Saturday, I was looking at Facebook and a person I was friends with, in fact, someone I went to High School with, posted something I knew was wrong. The post claimed that four lawmakers in Colorado decided jail time shouldn’t be mandatory for people who committed sexual assault of children. She claimed they were pedophile protectors. I opened up Perplexity and asked about the situation, and this is the reply I got back: You’re referring to a recent controversy in Colorado over a proposed bill that would change sentencing rules for certain sex crimes. Here are the verified facts to clarify what’s actually happening: • In early 2026, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee held a vote on a sentencing reform bill that aimed to give judges more discretion in certain felony cases. • Some lawmakers voted against an amendment that would have made mandatory prison sentences apply to all sex crimes, including child sexual assault, preferring instead to let judges determine sentences...
Dove or hawk? Donald Trump ran for President promising to end “endless wars”, avoid new ones, and put American families first. He cast himself as an outsider who would bring peace – the only candidate who wouldn’t drag America into another conflict. The message worked because let's face it, after so many years in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was tired of war. As a country, we were all tired of War. The country wanted stability, not another generation of men and women sent into danger. But once in office, he governed very differently. He governed like a Hawk, quick to threaten, quick to escalate, and willing to use both bombs and tariffs as weapons. What was missing wasn’t just consistency. It was an honor: the sense of responsibility and restraint that should come with the power to risk other people's sons and daughters. This isn’t about ideology. It's about whether someone who promised peace, but repeatedly chooses confrontation, can still claim to be a “dove”. A core...
