Our Capitol is safe for now from vampires and werewolves, well at least the Senate is. I can’t say the same for the House. There seems to be some blood suckers there that will be in charge. We still have the loony toon squad of Marjorie Taylor Green, Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert.  We also have the man child, Jim Jordan, who I would never trust the safety of my children with let alone the safety of our country. One thing I am pretty certain of is, Jim Jordan will continue his streak of being ineffective in introducing any meaningful legislation. Why because what he wants to be is a Reality TV Star just like his hero Trump! The fact that so many Republicans are still so willing to let Trump lead then is a very scary thought that I think scares the free world. What is true also of too many of our Representatives in the House is that they do not believe in our Constitution and were willing to just throw it out the window and put an unelected man in the White House. That folks is not called a Constitutional Republic. You can call it Fascism, Communism or even a plan old Dictatorship but one thing it is not is a Constitutional Republic.

The Constitution was at one time described to me as a living, breathing document that was meant to be able to be changed as our Country evolved. That is what I was told was the beauty of our Constitution. I kind of like the idea of that. We spend too much time wondering what slave owners from 1776 would think and not enough time on how the Constitution should be applied today. It is no longer 1776 and to be honest with you most of our founders would never have dreamed how far civilization has evolved. I think that the founders of our Constitution were great men but also flawed men. They were not guided by God but sometimes by their own personal interest as are a lot of us. We as a nation have to move beyond the personal interest of the writers of the Constitution and continue to let the document grow and evolve into the 21^st century. Would James Monroe want to let women have the right to vote? The man still believed that Slavery was morally acceptable so maybe we shouldn’t be worried what he would think today. We have to stop quoting our founders as much and start letting the Constitution continue to evolve by means that were built into the Constitution. More importantly we have to start being honest about the Constitution and the people that wrote it.

The Constitution is a document that in my opinion requires people to cooperate to change it. That is a problem today when you have one political party that doesn’t want to cooperate. It seems to be that they would rather just throw that document out and replace it with? Now that is a great question. What would they replace it with? Would they write a new Constitution? Would they just appoint a dictator for life? Would they have a one party system like communism is? When Obama took office he tried to work with the Republicans and Moscow Mitch’s reply was that his goal was going to turn Obama into a one term President. That is not a man that wants to move the country forward. That is the talk of a man that wants to divide and weaken our nation. When Biden took office even though Democrats held a slim majority in the Senate and controlled the House Biden still tried to reach out to the Republicans. That infuriated a few Democrats but to me that is what makes Biden great, his love for the entire country and not just the people that voted for him. I know that were I live which is Florida he has not turned his back on us even though Florida voted for Trump. He has done much more than just throw paper towels after our hurricanes. He has worked hard to for all of us and history is going to show that. Remember history is eventually written by Historians and not politicians. In today’s digital age all of this is going to survive long after all of us is gone. There are going to be a few embarrassed great grandchildren out there.

The Republicans are preparing to take control of the House of Representative. Do you believe that they have great plans for when they take control? I will be very surprised if they tried to accomplish anything constructive for the country. They are already talking about an investigation into Hunter Biden’s laptop. In reality they are already saying that they are looking for ways to embarrass our President. Marjorie Taylor Green has already talked about impeaching President Biden. On what actual charges I don’t have a clue and I am pretty sure she doesn’t either but that doesn’t matter to her. She will do it because for the Republicans to be successful is for them to divide our country more than it is already divided. Because they will not be willing to work with the Senate they will not be able to accomplish much but that is not their goal. Their goal is to damage the President of the United States. That is not the goal of a political party that wants to move the country forward. I keep asking the question Who Benefits from a divided America? Maybe a better question is who is profiting from a divided America? We know that countries like China and Russia gain from a divided America. So do counties in the Middle East like Saudi Arabia and Iran. Fossil fuel companies also gain a lot from a divided America. I feel that a lot of money flows to too many politicians  in an effort to keep us divided. Elon Musk bought Twitter to insure the flow of misinformation that will keep us divided. There is a ton of money to be made by keeping us divided and suppressing the truth.

I think that the next two years are going to be a roller coaster ride for our nation that I hope we will be able to recover from. We saw how the Republicans treated Hillary with their Benghazi investigations that went absolutely nowhere. There only purpose was to harm Hillary. You will see people like Jim Jordan do that again. Our country and its people do not gain from people like Jim Jordan or Marjorie Taylor Green. Our enemies gain but not our country.
