Biden has gone to Ukraine. What does that mean? I don’t really know except that he appears to be standing up for Democracy. It also looks like he is acting like a world leader. Some people say that it was a gutsy move on his part but I really don’t think that the Russians are not going to shoot down Air Force One. It is something that Trump would have never done, so from that standpoint I guess it is gutsy. He is showing he is standing up for Democracy and he is showing our NATO Allies we will help in the struggle for Democracy.

The Republicans are of course throwing stones at President Biden for going to Ukraine and not East Palestine, Ohio. What short memories does everyone have? Biden called Ohio Governor DeWine and offered him anything that he needed. The Ohio Governor assured President Biden there wasn’t anything he needed but he would not hesitate to ask. All of this was of course occurred before Biden went to the Ukraine. Many Republicans are using this opportunity to throw stones at our President, insinuating that he is derelict in his duty to the people of East Palatine and the people of Ohio. Of course, the Governor is not saying that because it wouldn’t be true. Why do Republicans just outright lie? This is not stretching the truth, this is a lie. I remember when Kenosha Wisconsin had their riot and how many Republicans around the State of Wisconsin and the country said that Governor Evers did not react properly to the situation in Kenosha. I watched the press conference with the Kenosha Mayor, the Kenosha Sherriff and the head of the National Guard and they all stated that Governor Evers gave them everything that they asked for. When people begin lying for political advantage they have to be called out on it. When it comes to the train derailment that happened in East Palestine Biden gave Ohio everything that the Governor wanted. The East Palestine Mayor says that it is a slap in the face Biden went to Ukraine and not to East Palestine, Ohio. You know, you really didn’t want him there. You are just throwing stones to make the President look bad. It is the lying that drives me nuts because it harms the country and it is meant to harm the country.

Now, whenever there is a crisis it seems that every politician that is in need of a photo op is there. We had Ted Cruz crawling along the border to show that we had a problem there. In fact we have had just about every Republican politician along the southern border for photo shoots. They do love to get their pictures in the paper or get on television. They hope it converts to votes. We now have Trump saying that he is going to East Palestine, Ohio to show that he supports them and Biden doesn’t. Like there is something that he can do for them. At one time there was something that he could have done and that was to keep the regulations in place that might have stopped this derailment. To me it looks more like the criminal returning to the scene of the crime than it does a person that wants to help. We need to have safety regulations, and people’s safety needs to be more important than profit. That was not true during the Trump Administration.

We need to be paying attention to Ukraine for a number of reasons and Biden going to Ukraine was the right call. In May of 2022 Russia’s state Duma deputy Oleg Morozov, a member of the Kremlin’s party United Russia Superior Council, proposed to put “Poland is next in line for denazification after Ukraine”.  That sounds like a threat to a NATO nation and to NATO it’s self. That is more the reason we must stay United in our backing of Ukraine. I remember reading about when they made concessions to Germany and Hitler with the Munich Accord giving Germany control over Czechoslovakia. The Prime Minister of Great Britain, Neville Chamberlin, called it “peace for our time”. One year later Hitler invaded Poland and World War II started, so much for “peace for our time”.  Just like Germany and Hitler, Russia and Putin will not stop with Ukraine. I saw where Putin said Russia has no borders. I believe if we concede Ukraine to Russia it will lead to World War III. Not only will Russia want to expand farther but you will also see the fall of Taiwan to Communist China. Turning a blind eye to aggression will only lead to more aggression.

DeSantis is now starting to delve into Foreign Policy. He was critical of Biden going to the Ukraine. You can tell that he is running for President. He will say anything to try and make Biden look bad. It sounds like he would end aid to Ukraine. He stated that Russia is not a threat to our NATO allies. Here again he brings up securing our borders instead of Ukraine. Who is he playing to? The America First group that is telling everyone terrorists is sneaking across our Southern border that’s who. You know, like most of the America First group, DeSantis is not a real big fan of history. Turning a blind eye to aggression only enables more aggression. Oh right, I said that before and I am sure I will be saying it again. I also think that he knows he is going to need Putin’s and Russia’s help to get elected. Do you think he would promise Ukraine for the Presidency? Trump would and so would many of the America First Group. Why wouldn’t one of his best students? I really think that the world is headed to a much larger war if we are not diligent protecting and working with our Allies.

I am a man that has seen my fair share of history. Only by looking backwards can we move forward. History has taught us that tyrants will always want more. Like Hitler, Putin will always want more. Like Stalin, Putin will want more. Like Japan in the 1930’s China will want more. That is what history has taught us. One Last question. Who gains the most with war? The billionaires won’t be fighting it. They will only be profiting from it.

On Saturday, I was looking at Facebook and a person I was friends with, in fact, someone I went to High School with, posted something I knew was wrong. The post claimed that four lawmakers in Colorado decided jail time shouldn’t be mandatory for people who committed sexual assault of children. She claimed they were pedophile protectors. I opened up Perplexity and asked about the situation, and this is the reply I got back: You’re referring to a recent controversy in Colorado over a proposed bill that would change sentencing rules for certain sex crimes. Here are the verified facts to clarify what’s actually happening: • In early 2026, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee held a vote on a sentencing reform bill that aimed to give judges more discretion in certain felony cases. • Some lawmakers voted against an amendment that would have made mandatory prison sentences apply to all sex crimes, including child sexual assault, preferring instead to let judges determine sentences...
Dove or hawk? Donald Trump ran for President promising to end “endless wars”, avoid new ones, and put American families first. He cast himself as an outsider who would bring peace – the only candidate who wouldn’t drag America into another conflict. The message worked because let's face it, after so many years in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was tired of war. As a country, we were all tired of War. The country wanted stability, not another generation of men and women sent into danger. But once in office, he governed very differently. He governed like a Hawk, quick to threaten, quick to escalate, and willing to use both bombs and tariffs as weapons. What was missing wasn’t just consistency. It was an honor: the sense of responsibility and restraint that should come with the power to risk other people's sons and daughters. This isn’t about ideology. It's about whether someone who promised peace, but repeatedly chooses confrontation, can still claim to be a “dove”. A core...
It is Easter again. I walked away from the church years ago, in fact, a long time ago. Why? I just couldn't understand what the Bible said, and what society was becoming, and how they interacted with each other. I saw the poor getting poorer and the rich getting richer, and I could no longer reconcile how this fit the teachings of the Gospel. The moment that reminded me why I walked away wasn’t a sermon or a scandal. It was watching a politician, a man who openly admits he doesn’t read the Bible much, argue with the Pope about Jesus as if he were the expert in the room. One man has spent his entire life studying Scripture. The other can’t even quote Scripture. Yet millions of Christians lined up behind the politician anyway. In fact, they have even compared him to Jesus. That was the moment I realized I hadn’t walked away from Jesus. I was walking away from what had been done to him, not by his crucifixion 2000 years ago, but by how we crucify him almost daily today. Whe...
