Cancel Culture. That fake news network Fox News has been making a big thing about cancel culture. They are making sure that this will remain an issue into the 2024 election. I am here to tell you that the discussion on Cancel Culture in America has always been a made up issue from the people that wish it install fear of the truth and fear of change. It is not a new thing here in America.

I think that the first people that complained about Cancel Culture were the Tories during our fight for independence. Just think of it. We had one group of people that wanted to start a new country and we had another group that wanted us to stay under the thumb of the British Empire. The Tories were opposed to us canceling our relationship with the British Empire and in some cases were so afraid of leaving the British Empire they went and moved to Canada. I think that is the best example of Cancel Culture in this Country. We were founded on the principle that we were to try and correct the injustices of government for the well being of the government. We like to think of our Founding Fathers as old wise men like Ben Franklin at 70 and George Washington at 44 but many was under the age of 35. James Monroe, the last of our so called founding fathers to be President, was 18 when the Declaration of independence was signed. Most of the Revolutionary Soldiers were between the ages of 18 and 25 with the youngest being 15 years old with parental consent. We were a young country that was very dependent on the young to make the cause of independence a reality. It is always the young that have less fear of the Cancel Culture than the old because change comes easier for the young.

What was the Civil War? To be honest, you could call that “Cancel Culture”. Better yet, you can call it “Cancel Culture”. There were States that had built their whole culture and economics on the back of Slavery. That was canceled by the ending of slavery. Governor DeSantis’s of Florida stated that the Civil War was not about slavery but about competing economics systems. When he was a teacher, ignoring the fact that one economic system was built on slavery. When you begin to tell the truth it is cancel culture. The 13th Amendment to the Constitution abolished slavery ending the rights for the South to have an economic system based on slavery. Yes, the Civil War canceled slavery. Men that fought to keep another race in bondage were worse than the King that tried to keep our new Republic in bondage. The truth that is being spoken about those people and their economic system is not Cancel Culture. It is just about the truth. Maybe that is why DeSantis and people like him hate the Cancel Culture that ended slavery in the United States. Maybe that is why he fights so hard to hide the truth.

Cancel Culture is as old as time. Cancel Culture is used in just about any war or rebellion. Even what Jesus preached was a form of Cancel Culture. He talked about forgiveness over punishment which at the time was a revolutionary idea. The notion that all people were equal in the eyes of God was really different to the leaders that acted like they were anointed by God to rule over the masses or even leaders that thought they were gods. Because he wanted to cancel that culture and cultures like it he was crucified by those that didn’t want to lose their power. They thought that killing him would cancel his message but it did just the opposite. That is because the most important tool that anyone has is the truth, and the truth will keep on coming back no matter how hard the people that would distort it try. The truth may be demonized by those wishing to hide it but it will always keep coming back. The truth will set you free and it is the truth that will surely prevail in the end.

Hitler and all the other tyrants like him always tried to hide the truth. Always using fear to harm others. Millions died because Hitler wanted nothing to do with the truth. He wanted to have the power. He demonized whole races in an effort to make the people feel that they were the victims. That is what crying, “Cancel Culture” does. It makes people that are not being victimized, feel like they are victims. It is meant to demonize the truth which in his case put 6 million people to death. That is going around right now. Somehow people think that having a level playing field is somehow taking something away from them. Canceling what they are.

Our civil rights struggles can and have been called Cancel Culture. Black men and women got tired of being treated like 2nd class citizens and began to protest demanding the same rights. White only drinking fountains and bathrooms. Blacks having to ride in the back of the bus. Blacks having the same voice as everyone else. All those things and many other things about segregation were treated like Cancel Culture. What were they canceling? Injustice maybe? You can’t say racism because if it did we wouldn’t have the racism that we have today.

White America does not have a problem with Cancel Culture. White America has a problem with the truth. A hero to this country should be a hero to the entire country not just White America. Southern Generals don’t cut the mustard on that point. The Stars and Stripes is a flag for the whole country, the Confederate Battle flag does not. Black history is American history. Our country was not created by the church and shouldn’t be ruled by the church. Our Founding Fathers were flawed men and to hide the truth just makes us look stupid in the eyes of the world. To cry Cancel Culture because you want to continue with the lies then it is you that is the problem.

There’s a simple way to judge a country: look at whose lives it protects, and whose lives it’s willing to forget. For years now, we’ve heard the phrase “All Lives Matter.” It sounds fair. It sounds equal. It sounds like common sense. But a country doesn’t reveal its values through slogans. It reveals them through actions, through the lives it defends, the lives it ignores, and the lives it quietly pushes out of sight. And lately, America has been doing a whole lot of looking away. When Black Americans said they were being killed during traffic stops and routine encounters, the response from many leaders wasn’t concern; it was irritation. Instead of saying, “Let’s fix the problem so fewer people die,” we heard “Blue Lives Matter,” “Stop resisting,” and “BLM is a terrorist group.” A man died in a chokehold on camera. We all saw, from the beginning to the end. It was like a modern-day lynching. Millions marched peacefully. The answer from those in power was “law and order,” and “...
On Saturday, I was looking at Facebook and a person I was friends with, in fact, someone I went to High School with, posted something I knew was wrong. The post claimed that four lawmakers in Colorado decided jail time shouldn’t be mandatory for people who committed sexual assault of children. She claimed they were pedophile protectors. I opened up Perplexity and asked about the situation, and this is the reply I got back: You’re referring to a recent controversy in Colorado over a proposed bill that would change sentencing rules for certain sex crimes. Here are the verified facts to clarify what’s actually happening: • In early 2026, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee held a vote on a sentencing reform bill that aimed to give judges more discretion in certain felony cases. • Some lawmakers voted against an amendment that would have made mandatory prison sentences apply to all sex crimes, including child sexual assault, preferring instead to let judges determine sentences...
Dove or hawk? Donald Trump ran for President promising to end “endless wars”, avoid new ones, and put American families first. He cast himself as an outsider who would bring peace – the only candidate who wouldn’t drag America into another conflict. The message worked because let's face it, after so many years in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was tired of war. As a country, we were all tired of War. The country wanted stability, not another generation of men and women sent into danger. But once in office, he governed very differently. He governed like a Hawk, quick to threaten, quick to escalate, and willing to use both bombs and tariffs as weapons. What was missing wasn’t just consistency. It was an honor: the sense of responsibility and restraint that should come with the power to risk other people's sons and daughters. This isn’t about ideology. It's about whether someone who promised peace, but repeatedly chooses confrontation, can still claim to be a “dove”. A core...
