Trump has flown to New York. Marjorie Taylor Greene has flown to New York. One is for his arraignment of as many as 34 counts brought against him by the State of New York. The other is there to exercise her Constitutional Right to protest, but MGT was the circus. One knows what New York is like. The other really doesn’t. Trump will try and make a circus out of it. This being New York where everyday can be a kind of circus he will have, what I think, is a little bit of a problem. I don’t think that Marjorie Taylor Greene has a clue. This is a person that believes if a person blows a whistle while she is talking they are committing assault. That is exactly what she said happened in March during her jail visits. A man blowing a whistle “assaulted her” with the noise. She calls the police. She thinks that the Jan. 6th defendants are being persecuted for attacking the Capitol but she is says a whistle blown at her, constitutes assault. She may be a star on 60 minutes but that won’t fly in New York.

Sure enough, she states before she arrives, an “Emergency Noise Demonstration” against her appearance with constitutes an assault. Is the lady like the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, not having a brain? She has just dared the people of New York to do just that. She lasted 12 minutes before fleeing in an SUV. Brave protesters like Martin Luther King and Gandhi always stood their ground. Marjorie Taylor Greene runs away. She has her moment, she has her stage, and she has everything but the integrity to stand her ground. She just shows what a hollow, unprincipled person she really is. I am not saying that your cause has to always be pure but what I am saying is that you must have real conviction of action for your words to have any meaning. Her actions showed that she really didn’t have the conviction to stand with the other Trump Supporters. She just wanted to take her 15 minutes and ran, leaving the people that she helped rally standing there.

Trump is now under arrest. This news really shouldn’t surprise everyone considering that we knew for weeks that this would happen. Trump himself announced it a couple of weeks ago that it was going to happen. Trump did get some of his supporters there and yes, there was a little violence but it looks like it wasn’t a return of January 6th. The two groups had been separated by the police but I really do think that the support that Trump wanted didn’t materialize. I really think he thought that there would be a rebellion that would save him. That of course never happened. People make it sound like it is so unprecedented that Trump has been arrested and arraigned. People that break the law get arraigned every day in this country. My question is why should Trump be an exception? Because he was President? I have been told that the best way to not be arrested was to not break the law. It looks like Trump broke the law. Trump of course has pleaded not guilty to 34 criminal counts.

The saddest thing about all this coverage that Trump is getting is the fact that there were huge student walkouts in Tennessee and protesting at the Tennessee Capitol the school shooting in Nashville and the lack of gun safety. This is all being overshadowed by Trump but by 2024 I think that this will have more affect on the election than anything else. We have students that every year gets closer to voting age. We have students that heard and seen the bodies of classmate friends and fellow students. We have students that have had to practice active shooter drills. They are starting to stand up to be heard. I remember the Vietnam Protest when I was young. They didn’t start out big but they spread. The more body bags that came home, the higher the kill count got the larger the protests got. I am not going to underestimate these students and the power they are going to be bringing to the table real soon, we already saw the impact that they had on the 2022 election. Every year their impact, I predict, will get larger and stronger. We are leaving these kids a mess and they know it. Changing what you try and teach them to dummying them down as DeSantis would do will not change what will happen if it is only a lie or if is meant to hide the truth. Children are dying because we have been lying about the second amendment to them. They know that more guns just mean more death. Their communities are being ravaged by more and more powerful storms yet we have a government that will not do enough to protect their future. We still have people in very powerful position in our Government that still deny Climate Change. Our Children are not idiots and we have to stop treating them as such. If we are not going to start working for a better future for them then maybe we should start getting out of the way so they can start fixing things themselves. We are starting to see Generation Z entering the political arena with our first one being elected to Congress. There will be more in the future.

I have seen there are more walkouts planned for the future. That is how it begins. That is how you bring about real change.

On Saturday, I was looking at Facebook and a person I was friends with, in fact, someone I went to High School with, posted something I knew was wrong. The post claimed that four lawmakers in Colorado decided jail time shouldn’t be mandatory for people who committed sexual assault of children. She claimed they were pedophile protectors. I opened up Perplexity and asked about the situation, and this is the reply I got back: You’re referring to a recent controversy in Colorado over a proposed bill that would change sentencing rules for certain sex crimes. Here are the verified facts to clarify what’s actually happening: • In early 2026, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee held a vote on a sentencing reform bill that aimed to give judges more discretion in certain felony cases. • Some lawmakers voted against an amendment that would have made mandatory prison sentences apply to all sex crimes, including child sexual assault, preferring instead to let judges determine sentences...
Dove or hawk? Donald Trump ran for President promising to end “endless wars”, avoid new ones, and put American families first. He cast himself as an outsider who would bring peace – the only candidate who wouldn’t drag America into another conflict. The message worked because let's face it, after so many years in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was tired of war. As a country, we were all tired of War. The country wanted stability, not another generation of men and women sent into danger. But once in office, he governed very differently. He governed like a Hawk, quick to threaten, quick to escalate, and willing to use both bombs and tariffs as weapons. What was missing wasn’t just consistency. It was an honor: the sense of responsibility and restraint that should come with the power to risk other people's sons and daughters. This isn’t about ideology. It's about whether someone who promised peace, but repeatedly chooses confrontation, can still claim to be a “dove”. A core...
It is Easter again. I walked away from the church years ago, in fact, a long time ago. Why? I just couldn't understand what the Bible said, and what society was becoming, and how they interacted with each other. I saw the poor getting poorer and the rich getting richer, and I could no longer reconcile how this fit the teachings of the Gospel. The moment that reminded me why I walked away wasn’t a sermon or a scandal. It was watching a politician, a man who openly admits he doesn’t read the Bible much, argue with the Pope about Jesus as if he were the expert in the room. One man has spent his entire life studying Scripture. The other can’t even quote Scripture. Yet millions of Christians lined up behind the politician anyway. In fact, they have even compared him to Jesus. That was the moment I realized I hadn’t walked away from Jesus. I was walking away from what had been done to him, not by his crucifixion 2000 years ago, but by how we crucify him almost daily today. Whe...
