Here we go again. Can Trump stop threatening people on social media? Can Trump stop threatening people at his rallies? Can Trump stop threatening people during his interviews? Is that all there is with Trump are his threats and insults?  Are threats and insults a legitimate campaign strategy? Are threats and insults a legitimate defense strategy? This is the way that Trump has been pretty much been all his life. It seems that he feels, because he is rich, he can just bully his way through life. His insults and bullying are just one of the things the people who have never supported Trump dislike about him. His insults and bullying are what makes him one of them for the MAGA crowd. They are the ones that always complained about having to be politically correct. They are the ones that think it is ok to walk around with AR15 to intimidate other people. Trump would never allow these people in the front door or even the back door to any of his Clubs or Properties. What makes Trump one of them is not that he would hang out with them, because he never would. What makes Trump one of them is because Trump voices the hatred and bigotry that they believe in. Trump makes it ok for them to intimidate people with threats of violence that do not conform to their way of thinking. That is why so many people think that Trump is one of them.

After Trump had been warned, at his arraignment, has taken to social media to intimidate. He posted “If you come after me I am coming after you”. If you were a witness in any of his cases wouldn’t you consider that a threat? It is going to be very difficult to go on the campaign trail and not talk about the case. What is going to be harder for Trump is to look at the evidence and the testimony that the Prosecution is, by law, required to turn over to the defense and not attack it publicly. That is who he is. That is what he has always done. He attacks his opponents anyway he can. He is now attacking the Judge, Jack Smith, Mike Pence and Joe Biden for the predicament that he is solely responsible. The more he attacks the more I see a guilty man. Trump doesn’t want his day in court. He doesn’t want this to make it to court. I think he knows when the truth comes out he will not be able to run from it. When the truth comes out history will preserve it forever and there won’t be a damn thing that he can do about that.

A few of his Republican opponents are starting to be a little more critical of Trump. Mike Pence has become more vocal and I don’t know if it is because he truly wants to attack Trump or because he will probably  be called as a witness. He states that “Trump’s candidacy is a distraction from current President Joe Biden’s disastrous economic policies”. Pence has come out saying that Trump put himself above the Constitution, which I believe is an accurate statement. If Pence had come before the January 6th committee and said that maybe Trump would be a non-factor. Asa Hutchinson, the former governor of Arkansas stated that Trump is “Morally Responsible” for the Jan. 6 attack. He states that now our system of justice will determine whether Trump is criminally responsible.  If you go back and read what many  Republicans were saying immediately after the insurrection you will see that many of them, including Kevin McCarthy, were saying the same thing. Former Rep. Will Hurd of Texas has stated that Trump’s 2024 run is only an “attempt to stay out of prison and scam his supporters into footing his legal bills”. He also states, “Trump of 2016 is a far cry from the desperate figure we see in 2024”. He states “It’s about time our party including the 2024 candidates , wake up to the fact that this guy only cares about himself, not our country’s future”. Chris Cristie has been the most vocal candidate that has taken on Trump. I could fill up pages on what he is saying. Vivek Ramaswamy is calling the indictment un-American and stating Trump isn’t the cause behind the events of the Jan. 6 insurrection. He states “the real cause was systematic & pervasive censorship of citizens in the year leading up to it”. I don’t know what censorship he is talking about unless he is talking about Twitter and Facebook which are two private companies. Also if there was any censorship leading up to the Election Biden was not the President, Trump was. Ron DeSantis, the person that has weaponized the State of Florida’s Department of Justice, says that he will “end  the weaponization of the Department of Justice”. He has also said he would “fire the Directory of the FBI Christopher Wray” who is, by the way,  a Trump appointee. What I see is very few Republicans who are willing to stand up to Trump in the way that they should be. Some like DeSantis are downright cowards.

I have written many times that the lying and misinformation keeps weakening America. I truly believe that. The lying is meant to divide us. Wasn’t it Abraham Lincoln that said,  “A house divided cannot stand”?  Trump has made no attempt to unify the country, none. Trump didn’t the entire time he was President. I don’t see that DeSantis would do anything to unify our country. His don’t say Gay, his anti diversity campaigns will only divide. If all you bring hate and bigotry to the table like too many Republican Candidates have no intention of uniting the country. I hear no solutions from any of the Republicans where the entire country will benefit. I hear of the things that they would take things away like Social Security and Medicare but I don’t hear what they would be replaced with? Are they going to eliminate all social programs and have it be every man for himself? The top 10 federally dependant States are 1. Alaska, 2. West Virginia, 3. Mississippi, 4. Kentucky, 5. New Mexico, 6. Wyoming , 7. South Carolina, 8. Arizona, 9. Montana, 10. Louisiana. Of all these states I think only two went to Biden, New Mexico and Arizona. Every plan I have seen, as far as I can see, just makes the lives more miserable for the very poor people that have supported the Republican Party.

From what I have seen the Republicans would rather weaken and maybe end our Republic than they would work for the good of all the people. I see Republicans claiming all the good they are doing for their districts by taking credit for programs they voted against. I see a nation moving forward for all Americans right now and they want to destroy that. Trump divided us and keeps us divided. I see no one in the Republican Party that wants to unite us.

This is my continued search on whether Trump has the Character to be President. A person I know stated “His character matters bc it is in the character I believe he has the leadership, knowledge, wisdom, experience, compassion, integrity that will lead us on the path towards a more safe, secure, healthy, prosperous, free world than the direction we are headed.” My last blog looked at his character as integrity from a legal standpoint before he even was elected President. From a legal standpoint there is no way I would have thought he had the integrity to be President.   It is a new game but it is still being played just like the old one. Biden has chosen not to run for a 2 nd term and it looks like Kamala Harris will get the Democratic nomination. This drastically changes what the election will look like. Instead of two old white guys facing one another we will have a woman that is 19 years younger than the Republican nominee Donald Trump. Donald Trump went from saying Biden was too old and senile even though he was only three years younger than Biden to the old guy that appears to be too old and senile. Since Biden’s debate performance he had been under a considerable amount of pressure to drop out of the race. I have admitted in a past post when Biden came on stage he looked frail and in the beginning of the debate Trump’s tactics really confused Biden.
