If I was a parent of a handicapped or developmentally disabled child I would be very nervous right now. If I was a parent of a Gay or Tran’s child I would be very nervous. Why? I think that we have a person running for the office of President that thinks that it is ok to mock people with disabilities. President Biden is a stutterer and he has worked hard to overcome that disability. That should be something that should be an inspiration to not only people with disabilities but to the entire nation. He is a man that has risen above his stuttering to achieve remarkable things. By Trump mocking Biden because of his stuttering he is sending a message to the entire country it is ok to bully other people just because they are different or have a disability. Now Biden is a grown man that has had to endure bullying like that all his life and he has come out probably stronger because of it. Not everyone is as strong as Biden.

Biden is not the first person that Trump has insulted because a handicap. At a campaign rally Donald Trump mocked a handicapped reporter. I saw it, you saw it and the world saw it. This mocking of the reporter by Trump is nothing more than a case of using your national platform to bully a man with disabilities. This was by a person seeking the highest seat in the land.  A person with a disability should not have to endure the taunting and the bullying that occurs every day in this country. I just can’t figure out why it is still happening in this country when we really should know better. Well that’s wrong, I can understand why it is happening in this country, it is happening because we have allowed it to be the norm in our everyday lives. Just look at all the message boards and I don’t mean just the political message boards. The sports message boards are just filled with insults and hate. Many news sites have disabled their comment sections because of all the insults. Yes, we have accepted insulting someone as a personal right. To me it takes a pretty small human being to attack a person because of their disability. It takes even a smaller man to use his platform of power to do it.

My wife was in the Publix down the street and there was an old man wearing a pro Biden shirt at the checkout line in the grocery store. There was another man that saw him and purposefully stood and waited until he had the opportunity so he could crash his cart into him. Both guys were not youngsters, probably both retired and in their 70s and one is acting like a bully trying to harass the other one. How can we tell kids not to bully when they see the adults do it? How can we even have civil conversation when the confrontation starts before someone even opens their mouth? This is what the country has become and Trump has helped make it that way. At a Republican event they had a Biden punching bag where people could kick and beat on our President. Don’t even try and tell me that the Republican Party in not being built on violence. They are openly promoting violence. The Democrats were not the bad guys in my father’s Republican home. Back when I was growing up we were Americans first and Republicans and Democrats Second.  What has happened to this country is not the fault of the Democrats. It isn’t the fault of a lot of Republicans. It is the fault of the Republicans like Trump that no longer believe in our Constitutional Republic. On January 6th 2021 on Constitutional Republic was attacked by domestic terrorists who tried to put an unelected man into the White House. I watched live on TV. The world watched live on TV. It was supported by most of the Republican Party.

Violence against the Gay and Tran’s community is growing and more people are dying. They have now released the results of how that Tran’s child in Oklahoma died after she had been bullied and beaten in school. After she was beaten in school she was advised to seek medical attention. If a student was beaten so badly that she was advised to seek medical attention why wasn’t the police called right then and there? Why did it not get reported to the police until the child was taken to the hospital by the parents? A child is dead. If the beating didn’t kill her the bullying did. I don’t care if she was Gay or Tran’s or anything else. These children doing the beating and doing the bullying are learning this in their homes, from their government and from their Church. Violence is becoming more and more commonplace as more and more states pass law against the Gay and Tran’s community. Violence against the Gay and Tran’s community is growing and we have State governments that are washing their hands from the issue like Pontius Pilate. Gay and Tran’s citizens deserve the same protection as every other individual citizen in the United States of America.

If I seem a little passionate about this issue is because it does strike close to home. Like some of us I have a Gay relative. I have a Tran’s relative. I have Developmentally Disabled relatives. Do I totally understand what they go through every day? No I don’t because I have not had to walk in their shoes. I know a Developmentally Disabled adult who won’t ride the city bus because he was teased and bullied so badly. I know how internally tortured a child can be not understanding their identity. I fear for him every day. We all know the attacks on the Gay community that happen almost daily. Governments in the past have killed and burned millions of Gays, Transsexuals and Developmentally Disabled people right along with other minorities to try and rid the world of their imperfections. We all know that is what Germany did. I know that we have people calling for that here. I know that those people are standing with the Republican Party. How can a person with a Special Needs, Gay, or Tran’s relatives they love vote for a Republican. I don’t know but I know they do.

  1. My daughter and son-in-law are LGBTQ+, with my son-in-law being a trans male. My wife and I love them both very much and we are scared to death what could/would happen should Trump regain the White House. I know I will do everything possible to defend/protect them no matter what the outcome for me would be.

      I have several Gay friends who always have my back, just like I have theirs!

      I worry about them ALL the time, because they are cursed to be living in areas, and most definitely states, where a while darned lot of bashing the Gay communities happen.

      We stay in touch more than normal for the past several years. We each know important info about each other e.g. Allergies, Important Medical info, Names/Phone #s, etc.
      Just in case of emergency.

This is my continued search on whether Trump has the Character to be President. A person I know stated “His character matters bc it is in the character I believe he has the leadership, knowledge, wisdom, experience, compassion, integrity that will lead us on the path towards a more safe, secure, healthy, prosperous, free world than the direction we are headed.” My last blog looked at his character as integrity from a legal standpoint before he even was elected President. From a legal standpoint there is no way I would have thought he had the integrity to be President.   It is a new game but it is still being played just like the old one. Biden has chosen not to run for a 2 nd term and it looks like Kamala Harris will get the Democratic nomination. This drastically changes what the election will look like. Instead of two old white guys facing one another we will have a woman that is 19 years younger than the Republican nominee Donald Trump. Donald Trump went from saying Biden was too old and senile even though he was only three years younger than Biden to the old guy that appears to be too old and senile.
