I read a joke on the Internet that I thought was pretty funny. “Question: How many Trump supporters does it take to change a light bulb? Answer: None! All Trump has to do is tell them that it’s fixed and they will walk around in the dark.” That is how I think much of what Trump says is perceived as the truth when, if you looked closer you would know that it isn’t. We are now told that Greenland is very important to the security of our nation. There are a lot of things that are important to the security of the United States that are much more important than Greenland. There is an entire country and a whole lot of water and ice between us and Greenland. When you look at a map to me it looks like Greenland is closer to Scandinavia than it is to us. Economically it is closer aligned to Europe than us. In fact, I don’t think it is economically aligned at all with us. We don’t even have any direct flights to Greenland, you would have to fly to Iceland first. We didn’t have a consulate in Greenland until 2019. Now we are being told that Greenland is not only important for the security of the United States but also for the security of the world. Greenland was important during World War II because of weather forecasting and for refueling. Neither is necessary today. Yes, I know that Russia is remilitarizing the North but I thought that Trump and Putin are buddies. Do you know what the most important thing I think is for the security of the United States? The same thing that is good for the security of our lives - good friends and good neighbors. In NATO we had good friends and a very strong Military alliance. Of course, Trump wants to pull us out of NATO. One of our most staunch allies and business partners has been Canada who Trump has insulted almost daily. South of our border more and more countries are turning to China. Threats are not going to make that go away. It will only accelerate that process.
Presidents have been giving a Christmas Day message since Calvin Coolidge, I believe. It has always been a message to inspire the nation and to unify us. On Christmas, we had a Christmas message from our President and another by the President-elect. Biden published a YouTube video late Christmas Eve. In the video, he urged us all to “set aside the noise and everything that divides us.” He went on to say, “We’re here on this Earth to care for one another, to love one another. Too often, we see each other as enemies, not as neighbors, not as fellow Americans.” he urged us to find a moment of “quiet reflection,” to remind ourselves to treat each other with dignity and respect, to live in the light and remember there was more to unite than to divide Americans. He went on to say, “We’re truly blessed to live in this nation.” I think it was a classy message from a very religious and honest man.
Trump's message was not one of class at all. It was not a message to inspire hope or kindness which is supposed to be the message of the season. It was one that expressed anger and not anything inspirational to the nation. Trump started his message “Merry Christmas to all, including to the wonderful soldiers of China, who are lovingly but illegally, operating the Panama Canal (where we lost 38,000 people in its building 110 years ago), always making certain that the United States puts in Billions of Dollars in “repair” money, but will have absolutely nothing to say about anything”. Next, he had to go and insult our neighbor to the north. “Also, to Governor Justin Trudeau of Canada, whose Citizen’s taxes are far too high, but if Canada were to become our 51st State, their taxes would be cut by more than 60%, their businesses would immediately double in size, and they would be
militarily protected like no other Country anywhere in the World. Likewise, to the people of Greenland, which is needed by the United States for National Security purposes and who want the U. S. to be there, and we will.” He then continued saying Merry Christmas to the Radical Left Lunatics, who are constantly trying to obstruct our Court system and our Elections, and are always going after the Great Citizens and Patriots of the United States but, in particular, their Political Opponent, Me. They know that their only chance of survival is getting pardons from a man who has absolutely no idea what he is doing. We had the Greatest Election in the History of our Country, a bright light is now shining over the U, S. A. and, in 26 days, we will Make America Great Again. Merry Christmas. He also stated in a Christmas message “To the 37 most violent criminals, who killed, raped, and plundered virtually like no one before them, but were just given, incredibly, a pardon by sleepy Joe Biden, I refuse to wish a Merry Christmas to those lucky souls but, instead, will say, GO TO HELL”
The message and the character between the two men couldn’t be more different. Biden’s message was one of love and unity and Trump's was a message of hate, anger, threats, and continued division. First, I am going to address the Biden pardon of the 37 most violent criminals. Biden did not pardon any of them. He commuted their sentence from death to imprisonment for life. To say pardon is meant to say that they went free and no one went free. Archbishop Timothy Dolan stated that Trump was serious about his faith. Well, Biden showed that he was very serious about his faith. The Catholic Church is very much against capital punishment. With all of the statements that Trump has made I am shocked that Archbishop Dolan was saying such a thing about Trump. Trump has been convicted in a civil court of law for Sexual Assault. The Judge in the trial stated that there was enough evidence to state that Trump committed rape. Trump isn’t any better than any of those people who Biden commuted their sentence.
I would hope that the Christmas message from any President would be the truth but then it wasn’t when it came from Trump. He states that we give Panama billions of repair money for the Canal. We do give Panama Foreign Aid but that is not a new thing. In 2022 we gave Panama 122 million in aid. We give more aid to Syria than we do Panama and they hate us. We give more aid to Afghanistan and they killed many Americans and assisted the 9/11 terrorists. Next. he said that we lost 38,000 people in the building of the canal. That too is not truthful. According to hospital records, 5,600 people died during our construction of the canal from diseases and accidents, not 38,000. Most of the people who died came from Barbados. Around 500 Americans died during the construction.
Nations are turning to China because they no longer feel respected by the United States and this will be happening more. The best friend China has in helping its foreign relations is the bumbling of our foreign relations. Next, he said that Biden pardoned 37 of the worst criminals that were on death row. He did not pardon any of them. He commuted their sentence from death to life in prison. To pardon means to forgive and Biden did no such thing. Not one is going free. We should not have to fact-check our Presidents. He also used his Christmas message to take pot shots and our northern ally Canada. In our history, we have never had a President or president-elect give such a hateful Christmas message.
Never before had I ever seen a Christmas message say “Merry Christmas” and “Go to Hell” in the same message.
Do you know one of the people that has taken Christ out of Christmas? That would be Donal
Electing trump president is the biggest mistake our country has made…multiple times! We’ve been “Conned by Don” yet again! I expected better from our citizens!
ReplyDeleteIt looks to me that the Electoral College that has allowed this to happen. Bomb threats from Russia in swing states looks very much like manipulation of the EC. It's not a democracy if a small group of humans can bypass the vote. All votes should be investigated for interference by StarLink. Somehow Musk and the Russians have swung the vote. They also let slip that there was no need to vote. They gave it away a few times. The public was duped. Thus the US is not a Democratic Republic anymore. US needs compulsory voting.
