To me we look like a government that can be bought. We have a Billionaire President that looks like he wants to fill his Cabinet and appointments with billionaires or relatives. This is what I have been afraid of since the rise of Trump. Nonelected billionaires deciding what is best for the country. I am afraid we are going to be ruled and not governed. When money rules, people are forgotten.

Who elected Elon Musk to run the country? I don’t know of any ballot that had Musk’s name on it anywhere. Elon Musk in the richest man in the world. The way Musk is talking I don’t know who is going to run the country, Him or Trump. In Iowa he stated that he would be playing a big part in the primaries. This following week it was stated he may fund primary challengers against those who don’t support Trump’s appointees. In all honesty that is outright blackmail. Marjorie Taylor Greene the Republican Congresswoman for Georgia stated, Elon and Vivek talked about “having a naughty list and a nice list for members of Congress and Senators and how we vote and how we’re spending the American people’s money.” Vivek of course is Vivek Ramaswami the other billionaire that is also a member of the Doge team that will be advising Trump. Doge stands for the Department of Government Efficiency. It is just a made-up department made up by Trump but probably more by Musk. It is not a real cabinet position but may wind up being the most powerful position in our government. I don’t think this is going to end up well for you and I.

I don’t know about you but the fact that billionaires are now out in plain daylight for the world to see are using their money to exercise control over the American Government is very scary. This is not the system of Government our Founding Fathers fought for. This is more like the government they fought against. The older Citizens United gets the more we see the Rich and Powerful want to become more Rich and Powerful. It used to be the back door dealings that would scare us now you have them happening in broad daylight. I used to write the Supreme Court is the most corrupted branch of our government. I think when the billionaires saw how they could buy favor with the Supreme Court it just showed a blueprint on how it can be done to the other branches of government. Musk is the richest man in the world and what he wants he buys. He wanted Telsa and he bought it. He wanted to control “Free Speech” so he bought Twitter. Basically, what he wants, he buys and expands on other people’s geniuses. This is just my opinion but now I think he wants to buy the United States of America. Or at least a big portion of it with the rest being shared with other billionaires.

The first time I heard the word Oligarch it was when the press was talking about Russian Oligarchs. These were people that acquired great wealth with the privatization of Russia during the post-Soviet Union of the 1990s. These new multi-millionaires and billionaires wielded a great amount political power in the new capitalist Russia. In my opinion with the help of these Oligarchs is the reason Russia didn’t transform into the free democracy we had hoped for. I think they helped Russia evolved into the more corrupt dictatorship that we see today which is driven by greed and power. Why are these very rich and powerful Russians called Oligarchs when our Rich and Powerful are called businessmen?  When I look at Elon Musk, I look at a man who has built much of his wealth off of the government and that means off the tax dollars of the American people. Much of Musk’s net worth can be pinned to the government’s help. Telsa and SpaceX got started and survived in their infancy with the help from State and Federal polices, government contracts and loans. Daniel Ives, tech analyst for Wedbush Securities stated, “The foundation for Musk’s financial success has been the US government”. To put it in a nut shell, Elon Musk got rich off the American people. It was our tax dollars that helped make him rich. Another way to put it is that Elon Musk helped in making of our climbing deficit. Why is Elon Musk not called an American Oligarch? Just like the Russian Oligarchs he serves his own self-interests above that of the country.

The richest man in the world who for the most part got rich off the American people is going to be leading the charge to end what he calls “government waste”. Musk stated at a town hall in Iowa that Americans will suffer “hardships as a result of efforts to address the national debt. Because he has been made rich helping create that debt the rest of us will have to suffer? That just doesn’t seem right. I wonder what our debt would be if we hadn’t given all those tax cuts to the 1%. I my opinion that is the biggest reason for the debt that we have now. We were sold a bill of goods that those cuts would help the country prosper and that would help the American people prosper. What I have seen is the 1% prosper and the rest of us continue to stay stagnant or have fallen behind. Do you really think that a billionaire is going to look after the interests of the American People? What they have been looking after is their own interest and that is how they have become billionaires in the first place. I hate to tell you this but the American people are not a business and you can’t treat them like a business unless you want that business to fail just like many of Trump’s businesses have failed.

America is, we the people. Our Fore Fathers wanted a government “Of the People, By the People, and For the People. That is not what you are ever going to get with people like Musk and Trump running around like Kings and Masters. They have no clue what the challenges are that real people go though every day. To them they still think that minimum wage is a fair compensation. They think that that overtime pay should not be paid for the extra hours they demand a worker works. To them they think we work for them and not for ourselves so we can feed our families and provide a good life for our children. To them we are inferior and need to be ruled. To them we must live by different rules because they have the money and we don’t. To them we are the ones that must carry the burden so they can live above us. They say that they want to “Make America Great Again”. Do you really know when the last time America was really great? It was when the 1% paid taxes and the American Government didn’t make them Billionaires!

There’s a simple way to judge a country: look at whose lives it protects, and whose lives it’s willing to forget. For years now, we’ve heard the phrase “All Lives Matter.” It sounds fair. It sounds equal. It sounds like common sense. But a country doesn’t reveal its values through slogans. It reveals them through actions, through the lives it defends, the lives it ignores, and the lives it quietly pushes out of sight. And lately, America has been doing a whole lot of looking away. When Black Americans said they were being killed during traffic stops and routine encounters, the response from many leaders wasn’t concern; it was irritation. Instead of saying, “Let’s fix the problem so fewer people die,” we heard “Blue Lives Matter,” “Stop resisting,” and “BLM is a terrorist group.” A man died in a chokehold on camera. We all saw, from the beginning to the end. It was like a modern-day lynching. Millions marched peacefully. The answer from those in power was “law and order,” and “...
On Saturday, I was looking at Facebook and a person I was friends with, in fact, someone I went to High School with, posted something I knew was wrong. The post claimed that four lawmakers in Colorado decided jail time shouldn’t be mandatory for people who committed sexual assault of children. She claimed they were pedophile protectors. I opened up Perplexity and asked about the situation, and this is the reply I got back: You’re referring to a recent controversy in Colorado over a proposed bill that would change sentencing rules for certain sex crimes. Here are the verified facts to clarify what’s actually happening: • In early 2026, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee held a vote on a sentencing reform bill that aimed to give judges more discretion in certain felony cases. • Some lawmakers voted against an amendment that would have made mandatory prison sentences apply to all sex crimes, including child sexual assault, preferring instead to let judges determine sentences...
Dove or hawk? Donald Trump ran for President promising to end “endless wars”, avoid new ones, and put American families first. He cast himself as an outsider who would bring peace – the only candidate who wouldn’t drag America into another conflict. The message worked because let's face it, after so many years in Iraq and Afghanistan, America was tired of war. As a country, we were all tired of War. The country wanted stability, not another generation of men and women sent into danger. But once in office, he governed very differently. He governed like a Hawk, quick to threaten, quick to escalate, and willing to use both bombs and tariffs as weapons. What was missing wasn’t just consistency. It was an honor: the sense of responsibility and restraint that should come with the power to risk other people's sons and daughters. This isn’t about ideology. It's about whether someone who promised peace, but repeatedly chooses confrontation, can still claim to be a “dove”. A core...
