I Could Be Wrong.

 What’s the worst thing that has happened to Christianity in America? Could it just be Donald J. Trump?  I could ask the same question about America. What is the worst thing that has happened to America?, and I could also say Donald J. Trump. I think that everything Trump touches is cheapened. Trump has cheapened Christianity and he has cheapened America. To take something large and then divide it just cheapens what is left. He has done this to both Christianity and to America. Can the unity of either Christianity or America be restored to strengthen them? Not when you have people like Trump that achieved power through division and not through unity. Our division is what has weakened this country. I have read that 40 million Americans have left the Church in the last 25 years.  I Googled asking why are Americans leaving the Church?   There has been a collapse of the Government in Haiti. Haiti is a lawless country,   it would be an upgrade to call it a 3 rd world country. The country has been a disaster just about forever. I don’t have any solutions to the problems of Haiti and in all honesty I don’t think it is our problem to solve. What I find interesting, because people are trying to escape the island nation some by boat to the coast of Florida, our Governor has already stated he is going to send any Haitian Refugees to Martha’s Vineyard. The last asylum   seekers he sent to Martha’s Vineyard he had to first import them from Texas. Now it was reported four days ago there has not been a spike in Haitian refugees in Florida but our Governor is already preparing to ship them out of the State. So far, any Haitian refugee boats that have been stopped by the Coast Guard the people are being returned to Haiti. I don’t think that they are being welcomed with open arms anywhere but DeSantis has to play politics anyway.

  Could they be Patriots? Can a person really call themselves a Patriot after they had stormed the Capitol in an attempt to put an unelected man into the White House. Can you be a Patriot when you threaten violence against the Vice President who is just performing his constitutional duty? That is what happened on Jan. 6 th 2021. I have always considered the people in uniform who took an oath to defend the Constitution and then carried out that oath as Patriots. I have always considered those that have stood up defended and fought for the principles and ideals of our Forefathers as Patriots. I have always thought of those who have died fighting for our nation whether it is right or wrong as Patriots. Some people have called them suckers and losers but I call them Patriots. Trump has been calling the people that have been convicted of storming the Capitol as Patriots.   I have seen where President Biden wants to cut my taxes. Now, I have agreed with most of the things that he has done but not everything. Just about every politician says they are going to cut taxes or hold the line on taxes. It was George H. W. Bush that ran on the slogan “Watch my lips, No New Taxes”. Many of our problems today about government is from what Reagan said “The problem is not that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much”. In the 1990s we were running a surplus. George W Bush campaigned on “The last time taxes were this high as a percentage of our economy, there was a good reason… We were fighting World War ll. Today our high taxes fund a surplus. Some say that growing the federal surplus means Washington has more money to spend. But they’ve got it backwards. The surplus is not the government’s money. The surplus is the people’s money.”Since at least Reagan. the Republicans and the Democrats alike have been running on lower taxes and l

  If I was a parent of a handicapped or developmentally disabled child I would be very nervous right now. If I was a parent of a Gay or Tran’s child I would be very nervous. Why? I think that we have a person running for the office of President that thinks that it is ok to mock people with disabilities. President Biden is a stutterer and he has worked hard to overcome that disability. That should be something that should be an inspiration to not only people with disabilities but to the entire nation. He is a man that has risen above his stuttering to achieve remarkable things. By Trump mocking Biden because of his stuttering he is sending a message to the entire country it is ok to bully other people just because they are different or have a disability. Now Biden is a grown man that has had to endure bullying like that all his life and he has come out probably stronger because of it. Not everyone is as strong as Biden.   Let the games begin. We can say now, with certainty, that the next presidential election will be a repeat of 2020. Not exactly what I wanted but here we go again. It is also the time where I watch a lot of the Disney Channel and Netflix so I can avoid all the commercials that just plain lie to the American people. I just hate election season. If someone really wanted to make America Great Again they would shorten the election season. It is almost like the election season never ends. I find it just exhausting. I will continue to read my news and just ignore all those commercials that are meant to divide the nation. Could it be that we are constantly in an election cycle that we wind up not tackling the most important issues. We have many issues that I feel are the most important ones.   The Supreme Court has again failed the Nation and the Constitution. Their  job is to interpret the Constitution. Here again their interpretation has said, something that it doesn’t say. I get really frustrated when I see that the Supreme Court is more interested in maintaining the power of the Federal Government and the political parties that control the government. The Supreme Court has stated that individual States cannot declare Trump ineligible for the upcoming election. The Ruling makes it clear that only Congress can set the rules on how the 14 th Amendment provision can be enforced against Federal office seekers. This decision will apply to all States. They stated, States will retain the power to bar people running for State office from appearing on the ballot under section 3. Now I have written at least three posting about the subject and I did not come to the same conclusion.   Tommy Tuberville made a comment about Biden eating an ice cream cone in New York City. He posted on X that “Hope @JoeBiden enjoyed going out for ice cream in NYC while the rest of the city is afraid of crime and migrants”. If Senator Tuberville was really an informed and knowledgeable lawmaker he would know that Alabama, the State that he represents in the Senate, has a murder rate that is three times the rate of New York City. I wonder if this is a case of another Republican lying and giving misinformation in an attempt to weaken our nation or is he just a politician that doesn’t have a clue to the real problems that face the nation and the State he is suppose to represent. Maybe it would help if Tuberville actually lived in the State he is supposed to represent. If you believe the Washington Post he actually lives in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. I have been to Santa Rosa Beach and I have to admit it is beautiful there but that should not be an excuse for not living in the State you r
